Case IH series 1000 plow

I’ve recently acquired a Series 1000 3 bottom plow.  I’m trying to find an operators manual but so far have only found a parts manual.  The rear furrow wheel is frozen up, and it’s missing all 3 of the Coulter wheels and holders.   But it is a beast, appears to be a 1966-68 as the steel main frame is 3/4” by 2” solid steel bar.  Any and all help is appreciated. 351094AA-E3EC-4BFD-9DC5-CF77006E4C02.thumb.jpeg.aceac3a90a0b984d8f63a97aada92cda.jpeg  C39C5E92-0AD9-4D11-9B19-400203FBB635.thumb.jpeg.229dba5b1d8427f96ed0e8fcbe965198.jpegF1061A87-5BC0-438B-8B29-1D14C3597BCB.thumb.jpeg.0df950be2eeffb0e7e1648b41f38e0ab.jpeg

Set the RH wheel -- PTO to inside of the tire to 26" for 14" bottoms , or 28" for 16" bottoms
you can determine which you have by measuring the path line between the points
looking at your second pic -- measure from the first share to the path of the second share -- this gives the plow size
use  a stick or straight edge if that would help

Set the plow level side to side when the tractor tire is in the furrow -- and level front to rear, to slightly down in front
-- or set the LH tire (front and rear) on blocks to represent your plowing depth -- usually 6-8 inches
and level across the plow --Adjust the top link so that the plow sits level front to rear

When you get to the field and are plowing check the adjustments again , since slack in your linkages may allow the plow to move out of level

Be sure to loose the sway bars so the plow can swing side to side freely -- do limit so it does not contact the tires tho

Rainman, thanks I’ve check his EBay account he doesn’t show one but I did reach out to him concerning my plow

Mike is the best, he'll look for a long time trying to find stuff.

I just bought 2 operators manuals from him Sunday at the tractor show.

Mike Becker (Paper Farmer) was very helpful and got me an Operators manual for my Case Series 1000 Bottom plow.  Still having a hard time finding the Coulters that are missing but did get the Rolling Landside wheel off a part. New bearings and seals are on ordered.  Just need to find the right Red Paint for my 1968 Plow

I finally received the wheel bearings and seal for the landwheel. Pull the Shin and Share off the center plow to get the replacements in to ensure they were the right ones.  The replacements showed up today, they are the correct ones for my plow so I ordered 2 more of each for the 1st and 3rd plow.  Hope to post pictures soon.
