paddler43
Understanding its a wide range but generally, what would be the worth of an 856 without T/A in good, clean shape with about 4500 hours?

Condition of tires? Good paint? Probably 8,000 - 8,500 w/o excellent paint or tires. 12,000 or more w/ excellent paint and excellent tires. Add more if weights front and back. paddler43
Thank you. Yes, paint's pretty nice, tires look 80+ % no front weights but has wheel weights. Gonna go look at her.
mrfred54
Easy 12000 around here if decent. Three point worth a bit more than fast hitch
nate
If you are buying to resell. No TA kills the price in a lot of areas. 6-8000 if good
nomorejohndeere
$7500 or so if the good is really good, no TA no loader it's all relative to your location alooooot of tractors out there for 10 plus that would be the next model or two newer.....

Funny you say that. I called the repair shop to talk about an industrial version 574 tractor a golf course has and i was considering. They pointed out for about 10k I could be into a local 784. I bought a 1086 a few years ago for $7k, the high side of the t/a is out now so it won't even move IH dealer says $7k to to fix so what do you do? If it hadn't had a t/a it would still be a useable tractor.

About the same here lol but that's because I'm living in the past where your price is where they topped out at. Seems everyone wants a 56 series now

I don't know Doug, first you have to find a decent one. Then negotiate a price. Used tractor market seems a lot tighter than it was a few years ago. But do see some 06,56 stuff that looks decent for less than 13 for sale. But there is some junky looking 86s and so so looking 66s for 15 ish now too. 🤷♂️
