Sheetz we stopped at was on Cabela's drive in Wheeling WV so we walked around for a half hour. Next Sheetz we stopped at was next to the junk Deere dealer so we swung through the parking lot.

The group from where I went to school left yesterday morning. I think they got to Indy tonight.    The two trips I got to make to convention in school and then to get my American Degree were some of my favorites.

The National Officer the went to my school is ending her year of service this week too.

We got to make our own schedule when we went out, we toured Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine in WV, Churchill Downs, Indy Speedway, Fair Oaks Farm, I'm sure I'm missing a couple places.

My trips in school were to Louisville which was a different path then to Indy.

Good times.

Keep the pictures coming Tim.

My wife wanted to stop by Cabela's when her classmate who was an AG teacher and traveled with us said we were going by there . I asked her to get a Sheetz on the route and it was right there . She said it was a God moment and that we had to at least walk through it a little bit. I actually looked at the gun selection as I was thinking about getting a long range hunting rifle for whitetail. Problem is that I think I have to customize whatever I get some. I want it heavy so it won't sway as easily and holds recoil down well. Everything is made to be as light as possible....My current rifle is short barreled and too light for my liking which makes it kick like a mule. My daughter is thinking that I won't be here until Friday so she will be surprised when she finds out. Weather is in the dump for finishing beans (around 80 acres) so I might as well be here . I lost weight and dehydrated myself drooling over the nice Yuge flatter than our fields along RT 70

My two trips to National Convention were the first and second year it was at Louisville KY I believe. That’s about 2.5hrs for us so we went for the day and came home. Fun time for sure.

Lots of things to do that I never expected like the Jr Olympic shooting team had a BB gun range setup. They started sending me mail after that. They had no idea I had worn out more BB guns than what they had in their trailer 😂

Oxford is about 25 miles from me.

My trip to National FFA was by train to Kansas City in 1966. Never saw so many new 560s and 06s in my life. We went through Chicago. Big stuff for a farm boy. When we got to the K C hotel lobby, some guys with blue jackets started saying far, far and laughing. I thought wth are they talking about? They were from somewhere in the south where they pronounce "fire" strangely.

Was 66,000 in attendance for the opening ceremony if I heard correctly. I'd love if it was held in a corn field instead of the city but I think my opinion doesn't matter much. Was really hard to hear everything perfectly. I'm glad I didn't miss it though. I wasn't originally expecting to get here before later this week but weather was bad for possible harvesting and I changed plans and drove the clan .

If you meet them tell the welker boys i said hello.

We walked right past them but the line was looooong to actually talk to them. Think we need to get there early so line is shorter

We went this morning and got in line. Spent a little more than an hour and we met them. We were very fortunate as they cut the line off right after us ....I feel for those behind us .

congratulations to your daughter and you all for getting her there.

If you are getting something long range, do it right, get a 50 BMG!

Lol. I'll have to look. The Case IH girl took the pictures. Maybe she held the camera backwards?

I wanted to be a Case IH girl, but I don’t have the legs for it.
