Remember when your parents bought you one of these for $100 bucks?

Never got one, but then again they weren't my thing growing up, and money was tight growing up.   I was naive enough to not understand (or care) then, but we never went without.  Nothing extra, but just enough.   But that would have been fun

When my oldest was the right age my neighbor offered me a PW50 IIRC for $100 that his kids had rode the wheels off of.

It still ran good but needed the frame welded up in a few places.

I set it up in the shop bench and was doing just that when it struck me.

If I bought that، Cade would never walk any where again.

I finished welding it up and took it back saying appreciate it but no thanks.

Bought /raised horses for them instead.

Would have been cheaper to buy em the bike😄

A few miles north of our main farm there is a huge cattle operation. For you Bull haulers it was the milford exit off I-80. At that time the owners name was Groasroady ( spelling is surely wrong)

When i was a little guy he would call my dad when ever one of the feedlot cows had a calf. If i could catch it i could have it. They were pretty easy to catch even for a 6 or 7 year old cuz they were almost dead anyway.
I threw many calf's over the gas tank of my Honda and hauled em home.

Averaged about one out of ten to survive if i remember right.

I bought my own Honda trail 70 when I was in 4th grade maybe or 5th. Grandpa had a whole fleet of em for a while as well as a Honda trail 90. My older cousin ended up with it and his brother a trail 70. I got one of the better 70s. It started and ran better than some of the others.  I rode the wheels of of it. Jeff's right I never walked again much anyway.

Think I gave grandpa 375 for it. I still have it and the last one he bought out in the corn crib. It didn't start so good. I think it had been used hard too. Mine is in really sad shape now.

Never got into the mini-bike, or motorcycle thing.
Had a couple cousins there really into them when we were growing up, and they were always ‘sporting some scar’s’, lol. Our mother, put her foot down and decreed absolutely no motor bikes of any kind, as long as we lived under her roof.

Even to this day, I never acquired the desire to get on a motorized two wheeler.

Never had one of them fancy bike's. I had to settle for a little 5hp biggs engine mini-bike. Got to ride it some around the yard but it didn't last long.

My dad was all set to buy a 4 wheeler, my uncle threw a fit and talked him out of it, said a dirt bike/mini bike was a much safer option. So dad split the difference and got neither. 😂

i had toys and never wanted for anything, but would have really liked a mini bike.

I bought a new Yamaha 100 (125) CC Trail 2 stroke 4 speed in 1968 for $339. in Napa Ca.  Adult trail bike with 18" tires.

Last bike I was on was a bigger 4 wheeler an automatic in a brand I didn't recognize, My Sister had 2 of them used by the forestry service.

we had a rupp 3 speed automatic bike and then upgraded to this in 1979, it was a 1978 KE 175 Kawasaki.  My brother and I mowed a lot of lawns to get the money together.  Our lawn was a freebie, only other people paid for grass to get cut.  the only thing was those that paid were done first and done best.  My dad could not really say anything because we were both going out and finding lawn  mowing jobs.

Had a few toys over the years way back.  After a 6 wheeler I had a 250r dirt bike and a 250r quadracer.  Sold the quadracer to help fund a 72 Nova with a 350/ 3 on the tree of all things.  Eventually 2 street bikes.  Somehow I lived to tell about it.  A 2 wheel fence checker would be fun again.
