td9bcf180
Any Alabama fans here? Just saw them in concert last night. Maybe some other locals on here were there? Great band/great time. Legends, for sure.

russ_alabama
2nd concert I ever saw was them, in about '82. They're from north east Alabama (I'm in north west area, and work in the middle). They did a lot of philanthropic benifit kind of work too.
Lazy WP
I have seen them at least 4 times, but not in the last 25 years.

Alan Dinan
Thought they retired from the road and making new music 8-10 years ago and then lost Jeff last year. Didn’t realize that the they were still performing. A lot of great songs from them!!

axial_al
We saw them once in Sioux Falls. I won tickets from a local radio station. George Strait opened for them at the time. (Was a long time ago!)
dads706
Met them once when they spent the night at a friends house sleeping on the couch and living room floor and touring in a camper. Back before they were called Alabama. Anybody know what their name was then?

yellowrosefarm
I saw them at one of the big D.C. concert venues back in the late 80's. Great show. My girlfriend at the time was a complete groupie. We lived in TX for a short time and broke up, driving back east separately. I visited my kinfolk in MS and then stopped at the Alabama museum after that. Sure enough, her name was in the guestbook a couple of pages back, just like I knew it would be.

midnightman
Wife and I saw them about 12 years ago. Was a great show. I’m pretty sure we wore out our cassette that mom and dad got when they went to their concert sometime in the early 80’s. “Roll on 18 wheeler!”
IHKeith
Good band for sure!! In my youth I really liked Dixieland Delight and still do. Take Me Down is my all time favourite to date, it's got rhythm, in it's time of release when "country was going pop" it ticks both boxes tastefully, and I feel it has that funny dirty vibe like Conway Twitty singing Tight Fittin Jeans or You've Never Been This Far Before
nepoweshiekfarmalls
My first Alabama concert was at the Iowa State Fair (4 more times as well). Clint Black opened for them. Had to purchase my Grandpa a ticket too, because I was not old enough to drive!

Loaded cattle at that sale barn a lot years ago and been by their yard. Been across northern Al almost every week back then
Absent Minded Farmer
This was good for a memory jog, even though I had to phone a cousin for details. I had thought Alabama played the Hodag in the latter part of the '80s. Nope! Was the Oak Ridge Boys. Also seen Strait & No Show there. The first time there Eddie Rabbit played. Think Reba played that one too. Mike
