Talked to a fellow that stopped by my work this morning.   He was headed home from the show.   Said there was over 200 D21 tractors there.

I saw a number on facebook. Seemed like it was 225 but don’t quote me.

The last count I got from the AC Registration desk was 202, later in the day I heard gossip of 230. BK

How did you do?

wasn't top 5 on 7040 in the 12500# 12mph, think 6th, could not hear, but only paid 5 spots, so thats pretty usual, first spot out of money lol! I did win their open class on the 210 though! That was pretty cool since those guys have beat me up pretty bad in the past. It only put a foot on second, so not like I brought a gun to a knife fight lol!

You must have a decent pump guy to have the 210 rolling like that 😂😂.  Your pull looked good from the stands also

You're welcome, Bill.  I was watching some plowing and everything came to a screeching halt because some jack wagon got his buggy hung up in the furrow.  BK

Now there is a new award to be given- Jack Wagon of the Show, or JWOTS for short. Sometimes, competition could be fierce.😁

It was a great show , the heat was tough but we made the best of it , it was great to see everyone , sorry I didn’t get to visit more with people . Herberts two little tractors were a big hit . The 1086 got to make its last trip with me to a show , nest Tuesday my online auction will end and it will be heading to a new shed .

What is the deal with the 66 series IH and the 234 picker/sheller?  It looks like the two rows he's picking have already been picked.

Just guessing, but they probably knocked a few rows down opening it up with a pull type picker.

That is me,  I was cleaning up some odd rows on one edge of the field.  One row was already picked and the other wasn't.

I have a 234 with a sheller.  It’s on a 706 right now but I have a 766 and 966 with wet bolsters.  I would love to swap it over to one of them.  Those sure are good pickers and I really enjoyed watching you run.

What is that guy’s problem with that 806? Dang!!!! Looks dangerous he’s even getting bounced up out of his seat. Either that or he is intentionally standing up??? W-T-?

The rear tires look over-sized for the tractor for one thing. Could that be the problem? Getting too much tire bite instead of allowing for a small percentage of slippage? I see he has front end weights installed. Geez….

That ground has always been hard plowing.

Anybody find it funny that the 100 Years of Farmall display had a FORD tractor representing 2023?

Anybody find it funny that most of the equipment at the "Half Century of Progress" which is supposed to be about how far we've come in the last 50 years (i.e. since 1973), is MORE than 50 years old?

The sign at the beginning of the IH row was on JD running gear. Thought that was ironic.

Ok,  that makes sense.

Cool outfit...........what model 66 is hiding in the picker?

The first mounted picker I ran was a Deere 226 on a "B"  tractor,  then a 227 on a 60.

Went to a New Idea pull-type after that,  but I still have a great love for corn pickers.

And he has a dt engine with an inline pump in that tractor.

Reduce ground speed by a gear or two.  He may not like it but it would be best for both man and machine.

This was the norm for us plowing for close to twenty years. 1026 pulling 5-16s. Full rack of weights up front. Besides that, we would take the rear weights off the other tractors and hang them off the front with chains. Well over a ton of weight out front and would walk down hills like this. Red and worse yet, blue clay. Didn't matter how slow you went. Eventually bought a 2470 Case. All 8 of the 18.4-34 filled with fluid and the full rack of weights. Still pulled the front up on that! Spun the rims in the tires. Eventually tore the bottoms clean off that poor plow. When it's hard pulling...pull harder.

Thanks for the pictures guys.

Maybe they should rename the show to "Half Century of Showoffs." From the plowing video nobody else was having such trouble. I mean, it's an 806, with big meats, pulling a 4-bottom plow. Don't care how hard the plowing is, it's not going to pull a wheel stand like that unless you're trying.
