Do you have a better pic of the sheet behind the windshield? Wondering if it lists how the truck is set up & the make of the cherry picker..

Awesome pictures!!! I was kinda hoping early on to make it out there this year. However I find that there is almost more on my plate than I can handle right now. Getting new fuel shop on it's feet and starting 2 new employees

Now planning on 2025.........

Thanks, to those contributing the pictures for those of us who aren't going to make the show.

I know it was $13,500 and a 4spd/345 with ~37k miles. I can snap a pic of the paper today. Stay tuned

Would be interested to hear the story behind that one, Todd. If you uncover any more information, please share it!

They had a sign board out today for it. Pretty cool.

The owner needs to be brave and open that rear end up and take some pictures to add to his display.  It would be interesting to learn if it truly is similar to how the 706/806s are set up and actually was the pre-cursor to their development.  Too bad the PTO broke, even having it there on a table for people to look at would be interesting though.

I think that green quad was a special offer from the factory. Have seen pictures of several new ones painted green.
I drove past a new one a few months ago painted red with IH white wheels and rooftop and hood. Didn’t get a picture and it was dark when I went past it the second time.

Makes me wonder how badly it could be broken, it was made in a machine shop obviously , seems logical it could be repaired likewise, obviously saving all the original parts, if for display and reference only.

After reading that I wonder if the path of IH tractors and some of the issues they would have later one would have been different if they followed through with the M8.

Maybe?  They would have 8 speeds, but would not have had a shift on the go option in ‘54 like they did with the TA.  That was probably a bigger deal at the time for farmers with heavy tillage.  Maybe not in Montana, but elsewhere being able to shift without clutching was a big deal.

I was thinking maybe they could have avoided some of the rear end issues but who knows.  The TA was nice but there was a lot of farmers that got by without a TA up until the 70s when partial shift on the go transmissions became the norm.
