Freon in a 4000-swather a/c system?

Recommended Posts

Need to recharge the air conditioning system on the 4000 IH swather.   Does any one know how many ounces of refrigerant the system holds ?  Not just adding , want to evacuate it and do a complete refill.   Thanks .

Go by Gauge manifold pressures taking ambient temp into consideration I usually charge the old systems (134a) according to lowside pressure readings and Duct air temp with fan on high

Case/IH still has a parts manual listed.

But no decal for the A/C system. An owners manual may have it.

This will probably get down to watching the gauges and the temperature in the cab.
