MT Matt
Just when I think I have every tractor for my letter series collection, another one comes along!!! And follows me home… This makes the third tractor pulled into the yard this year. 🤓 A W-4 came home last spring. And a W-6 a couple weeks ago. An online auction last week got me for $9 for this new pipe from Steiners. Looks pretty good I’d say. Makes the W-6 beller, might not take long to get sick of that! I picked up two sets of front tires, a set of front wheel weights and some other odds and ends from that sale also. Yesterday we went to another local auction and I didn’t intend to buy this Cub but the more I looked at it, the more the cash was burning a hole in my pocket. Got it for $925. There were two other Cubs and a Super A there. The SA went for $1125 and the Cubs for $850 and $800. But I got the one in the best shape. I didn’t have a Cub painted like a demonstrator. Whether this is a true demonstrator or not, all I can say is it could have been. The serial # tag was removed and the block is a replacement with a W casting code. But all of the other casting codes are from early February 1950. I’ll just clean it up and get it running. The paint is in pretty decent shape overall. I also picked these up for $10 each! I couldn’t believe they were at this sale with a random pile of books. It pays to dig. I also got a box of head lights and brackets, a single Cub front weight, a good seat pan and a sickle mower for a Cub with two sickles. I gave $5 for the mower as it was buried in a pile of scrap and in two pieces. As for the single Cub weight, I have a single from another sale so I can pair them up. I also gave $5 for a mounted mower for a Super A. It was a fun sale and I think I’ll mount the sickle mower on the Cub after I paint the mower up. Will be a good project. Now to find a BN…

Where at in Montana ? ......sounds like a plan, all right !!! ...that picture of ''Bald Mountain " you took, Matt, whilst waiting for your irrigation (?) pipes to empty out was just stunning....and the photo's featuring the old letter series tractor's, out in the paddocks, merge right in with those old Montana hills in the back ground..... Mike Thanks Mike but to me that hill isn’t one of the better views around here. But it sure was photogenic that day! This is more of what I like as far as views around here: My house Overlooking the Clark Fork River from my upper field. The Mission Mtns about an hour north of me. Growing up and living here now, it takes quit a bit to catch my attention as far as views but there are times I just stop and look around at the wonder. This is looking down at my property, the little white sliver at the middle right is my hay field. I was hunting about 2500 feet higher then my place. 7
hardtail
Your in the wrong support group to even identify a problem buying more red albeit this time white tractors, I'd say 23 has been a stellar year and you might be one of the few to say those words😁 As far as the snow hopefully that keeps some of the Kalifornians staying in their state
