hardtail
That's some crazy engineering, 6000 hp per diff, most have trouble getting 1 Allison to run right x4 but it's only gotta go for 4 secs, more 4x4 talk

Howard_P
It probably wasn't too bad back in the 1960s, but can you imagine trying to replace those engines today?
mikem
And you are gonna shove 6000 horse power through the differential that is tucked right up tight, under "the boys"? What could POSSIBLY go wrong????????? I'll pass, but thanks for asking.😱 Mike

arizonian
Doesn't pass the smell test. Claim is 3.7 seconds in the quarter mile in 1965? I'm 3 sheets into the wind tonight so I am not searching for the true times this car ran but sub-4 second runs should put it close to the 300 mph class, which wasn't achieved until much later. My dad took me to my first drag race some time in 1967. Details are really (really really) fuzzy, but the Holy Toledo and Incognito fuel altereds were somewhere in the 7 second area, about 200 mph. Dasnake
This thing SCREAMS '60s, pie crust slicks, fiat glass body, and an exuberant fast faster fastest look, I don't know where the sub 4s came from in the time period but people can write whatever, from reading this vehicle did not run, just a show piece, might be true might not be, tommy ivo had a four engine beast also, turned 175 or so, four buick nailhead engines putting out 2000 hp, NHRA banned four engine beasts around this ('60s) time frame, lots of I dunno about these but some where is more info probably. I want to say the tractor pullers are getting 4000 out of them.
