FarmerFixEmUp
My youngest son, 17 got his Eagle Scout achievement a few weeks ago. Since then he's been getting a lot of mail and recognition, mostly from Baseball teams all over the country. Just wondering why nothing from football nd basketball organizations? Seems to me the baseball sport in general is more hard working people than the others I mentioned. Less overpaid people. Just my opinion. Oh, he also got one from Jimmy Carter and George W Bush. 8
EquipmentJunkie
Congratulations to him! I hold Eagle Scouts in high esteem. My co-worker's son just received his Eagle Scout achievement, as well. He told me just 10 minutes ago that his son is getting a photo taken by a local newspaper of him and his Eagle Scout project. Dad is a man of few words but you can tell that he is very proud of him. Like every Eagle Scout I have met, his son is a fine young man. 2
FarmerFixEmUp
His oldest brother is also an Eagle Scout, the middle son did his project and all but somehow the paperwork got messed up so hasn't got the final things done yet. But he's 22 now, so don't know if it will happen.
acem
Congratulations on their hard work and the major achievement! Both my son and stepson are eagle scouts. It's a lot of work. Your letters are probably because someone asked for them. I expect they are a baseball fan. We have a lady in our troop who always does that and much more.

CC_Ranger
Congratulations to your son from one in the class of 1979. I am on the executive board of our local scout council, each year we do a recognition dinner for the scouts that earned their Eagle the previous year. It is always impressive to hear about the projects and meet the young men and women now the obtain the rank.
Mr. Plow
Congratulations! A real achievement. I have sat on many Eagle review boards...most Eagles are the real deal and their projects and board answers reflect that. I was very proud when my son earned his, I'm sure you are too.
Sledgehammer
Something to be proud of for sure. I know the reputation of the scouts has been tarnished in recent years but the scouts that get to the honor of Eagle Scout should still be very proud. (And their parents)
nepoweshiekfarmalls
My first cousin earned his Eagle Scout. It was a very favorable achievement when he joined the Marines. Today, his career was positively influenced by both accomplishments.
Rawleigh99
A friend's youngest son just made Eagle Scout as well. One of his other sons, my Godson, is an ex-Green Beret who just graduated from Columbia University on the GI Bill. He did well with his sons! Here is his eagle Scout package.
1256pickett
Congratulations! One thing that escaped me in my youth. It got to a point that my parents made me choose Boy Scouts or 4-H. I think I made the right choice with 4-H but really wish I could have kept both.
FarmerFixEmUp
Our 3 were in both scouts and 4 H for a while, eventually 4 H got dropped.

Diesel Doctor
I have never met an Eagle Scout that was not deserving of the award. A terrific program.
