Looks like you found the same thing that I did, which is the measurements for the bracket on the door frame are BARELY enough to allow the cylinder to compress with the bracket slid as far back as it will go on the slots.

I like it. Holds the door open just that little bit farther. My 1586 has 520/85R38s (slightly bigger than 20.8x38) slid way in for the axle duals, and there's not a lot of room between the door and the tires.

I've put a handful of these on, some went better than others, as far as if it was worth it I and everyone else that uses them says yes, especially on a windy day

Those chrome inside door handles are a definite must have when the K&M closure kits are installed!!

Does anyone make them in chrome anymore???...all I see is the steel ones painted silver...

I don't think chrome is available new anymore.  The new ones are all powder coated.
