We’ve had quite a week with rain and tornado warnings and active tornados. We are safe. Crazy stuff tho.

This was taken 190 south of me. Yes this is a picture from today…. Not a painting.

Here was the storm we had Wednesday night. The lightning and thunder was insane.

None that I’ve heard. A couple nights ago a tornado closer to us claimed a house. No one hurt.

...i'm   afraid its caused by global warming.......

....I learnt this unfortunate fact by watching homo erectus  like creatures , dressed up real pretty like , encased in  rainbow coloured   garments  ...pontificating at length about the state of the globe, among other equally pressing matters,....and asking, nay expecting,  of all people,   a Socialist Govt  to address this phenomenon......Bloody morons

....guess America dosen't have those sort of morons, given   that decisive leadership you guys are experiencing.......??

..its a worry...but all I can do is   keep heaving those endless stones around with the excavator....

....we have to tread carefully at this point of the conversation.....

....shall we just say..I believe it is the 'new' normal.......based of course, on my observations.....

Looks like a very large area of both SD and Nebraska got a lot of much-needed moisture last night. 2.20" in my gauge this morning.

Talking about the MSM/journalism, has anyone else noticed in the last 6 months just about every news story from either Reuters or the Associated Press that talks about bad weather has some mention of "likely due to man-caused global warming" or some other disclaimer like that? Gee....you mean to tell me hurricanes, forest fires, tornadoes, blizzards, and all other weather extremes have NEVER happened until man came along and screwed this whole planet up in the last few years. Then they wonder why their favorability rating among the American public is as poor as Congress's.

I guess there was. This one was more in the southeast corner of Colorado in Holly. It’s about 10 miles or so from the Kansas boarder by looking at the map. I could be wrong on distance.

I am not very thrilled with this “new” normal, but the more I find out, things have been far from normal for years!!

Well as far as weather goes, we were supposed to get an inch of rain today, so far it’s been sunny and warm, got .5 last night that was unexpected, and our total through the weekend is/was supposed to be 1-2 inches.  I think it will be more like .5-1 inch, and that’s far from enough to help, we need 3-5 inches to get the top foot back to wet that can withstand more than 1 day of heat and sun!

Better than the 2 drops we got!

I drove in that last night between wall and rapid city.  Wipers on high and about 35 mph on the interstate for almost an hour.  Been a long time since I've driven in that hard of rain.

We've had rain off and on yesterday and today. Bismarck Nd area. I'd venture at our place, NE of Bismarck we've had an inch to 1.5. Had a few nice inch or so rains over the past month or so. Things are looking pretty good moisture wise here.

Could have sworn I saw footage of that one. Can't find it. The one I was thinking of was in Highlands Ranch.

Will have to look up the one you mentioned.

That cone on the left is probably the inflow to the wall cloud forming to the right of it.

OR

It could also be one forming, as it is showing a notch (L) & the extant wall cloud (R) looks like it's becoming occluded i.e. dying.

We haven't got much more than a few showers that got the grass wet here. Most of it split and went north and south of us. Still chance of showers today so who knows.
