Mike and I left Grand Island Sunday morning and made it home at 930PM Monday night. Think the road home was longer than it was going out to Nebraska. Truck and suitcase are still loaded, except for the whole peach pie that the Lutheran lady at the pie booth talked me into buying on Saturday. Pie is now missing 1/3 of it, maybe defective??

Roundup was great, even made the combine tour Wednesday early without having a prior reservation, via standby line. Good to see old and new friends.

Now to get truck unloaded and then back to civilian life. Still a couple loads worth of corn to spray.

Let me know if the pie is as good as mine.  I have a ancient recipe.

In the pie scheme of things, I would say the peach pie and your cherry pie were on a par, both excellent. you definitely get style points for cooking it over a campfire while singing cowboy songs.😄

What can I say, I've got good looks, great singing voice, and great personality, now if I just had the smarts to use them I'd be making millions in Hollywood!  The good cook part is just extra icing on top!

Glad to hear you guys made it home safely.

I’m guessing your wife had to look a long time for such talent

I remind her all the time she married up.  It just so happens she's out of earshot when I say it, but I still tell her all the time.

I don't have the stones to call her an antique like someone else I saw at the show.

I got lost on I-80, and I'm still heading east. In Tennessee now! BK
