Howard_P
Until they showed how a bale was dropped and hauled away, I was wondering how you could drop a bale on a hillside like that without all of them ending up at the bottom of the hill.
Mark (EC,IN)
I'd like to see the parts of that video they didn't show. There were several times I'm thinking "Ok, baler guy is in trouble he's sliding off the hillside" and then they just show him baling again. I'd want a bigger tractor on that baler. Lazy WP
Why don’t people drop the loaders off? I wouldn’t want any extra weight up high.

THAT is why. They needed the loader to put the bales on the wrapper. Plus it's weight over the front wheels for traction on those hills. 1 hour ago, Mark (EC,IN) said: I'd want a bigger tractor on that baler. Probably the only tractor they have. I don't know what that thing is they're raking with. Looks like some kind of overgrown Ventrac or Steiner lawn mower.
from H to 80
Way to steep for me, that little loader must have some awful good brakes.
495man
Interesting hitch set up on the baler, PTO under the hitch. License plates on the baler too. I was waiting to see how they dealt with bale ejection. I have rolling ground and have to watch where I drop bales.

Front weight would be a though too, but I'd have an attachment on if that was the case, especially a bucket you could drop anchor with. I see they didn't dump the wrapper with the 3pt on the wrapper tractor, likely wouldn't lift it.
Jacka
Doesn't seem that bad to me.I got hills that steep and steeper.I mow some down at a angle so your not running directly on the side. It is a pain though.I got one 15 acre field that every bale gets carried to the bottom in the baler to a acre flat spot. It sure is nice to bale that flat spot ,just drive along stop and kick the bale out wherever you are.It takes a ton more time with all the running al hills. We Swiss and also the Austrians invented the hill side tractor or mower tractor what that vehicle ya see is called. It technically came out of the walk behind mowers and other companies in Switzerland and Austria made there versions from the ground up in the early 1970s
Rawleigh99
From the title I thought I was going to see something different!!! LOL One of the Case IH mechanics around here has a very humorous story about some city folk trying to round bale on a hill!!
