I joined this forum hoping to find some assistance with some technical issues I have come across while working on a couple of old binders. I got great feedback j on my first ever "out of fuel" restart request. I am looking for wiring guidance on my 1965 Emeryville and I've got crickets. Am I the only one on here with an old cabover?

I personally don’t own one, I’m not sure if the guys from the truck forum read these but maybe a post in that forum would get you some answers? Good luck! I do like the truck such a cool project!

Trucks not really my thing. Would have gladly helped with any specific electric problem. A specific diagram for a specific truck is a pretty big ask I think. I was also going to suggest a post on the truck forum. Don't get your hopes up but worth a try.

The 'General Chat' forum gets WAY more traffic - if you post your question there you might have better luck as well.  If it isn't IH, that's probably your best bet.

Good luck!

Edit - I went and looked at your other thread - I apologize, I didn't realize your truck is an IH.

Not a lot of folks with early cab overs you your best bet is to look for a manual

Here is a reprint

https://oldinternationaltrucks.com/parts-store/literature/service-manuals/service-manual-r185-up-emeryvillefleetstar-f210f230-m-series-transtarunistar-1965-1974/

If you are really interested in a cab over you might want to look for some thing that runs and drives

That 1965 Emeryville  you posted looks like a big project or a piece of yard art

This might be a better fit a lot newer and parts will be easier to find

Sorry that youve not had better success. I saw your wiring diagram post but have nothing to contribute. You'll find that the vast majority of the knowledge base on the forum is about tractors, with quite a bit of knowledge also on the more common tracked equipment and common trucks (like Loadstars, pickups, and S trucks). The less common stuff, or less collectable, or whatever (like some of the IH construction equipment and some of the trucks) is harder to find enthusiasts or restorers or general information.  But hang in there, someone may yet see it and have exactly what you need.

You might have better success if you joined the American Truck Historical Society and asked there, more collectors of that type truck there.

I have some trucks that we still use of that vintage, but not IH. There are not many wires under the dash of any of them. I also joined this forum because of issues that I was having, but with IH industrial equipment. I received lots of invaluable advice, but there was still a lot to figure out on my own. These big projects are not for the novice. There is a reason you don’t see a lot of IH trucks and equipment anymore that were once very popular. Technical knowledge has been lost to time. Parts are difficult to come by. There just is not a kit or a diagram for everything needed on these relics. There are some on this forum who make these projects look easy, but that is only because of how talented some members are.

I agree the truck and or general forum may be the best place to run into someone who knows these better. It is a cool project and I wish you luck. But some of the more obscure items may take weeks and months for the right person to see it and think it over and answer.  Don't give up and keep checking back.
