Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a manufacturer of fine threaded square head 5/8" bolts ?  All I can find are coarse threads.

Yes, it's wheel clamp bolts on a 460.  Factory used them and has the big nuts so I wanted to replace the worn ones the way they came.  Can't find 5/8" fine thread 2 1/4" anywhere.  May have to go with coarse thread, but don"t want to.

Hello there, just went thru the same thing, Doug Weber up in woodville had 2 and 5/8ths, we were looking for the 2 and 1/4 just like you, have been with fastenal for 20 years, still am able to get things,  sales guy finally got me the square head in coarse thread with the bigger nuts, they were all black nut lock washer and bolt about 2 bucks. I see them available from restoration places but 10 dollars?

Lawson has them labeled as a wheel bolt. I used to deal with Lawson many years ago and their hardware was some of the best. No idea what they are like now, or if you have to have an account to buy from them.

The picture looks like they aren’t fine thread but the description says 5/8”-18. Maybe worth calling them to confirm what they’re actually selling.

You might want to try www.blacksmithbolt.com  I've had good luck getting bolts for my Russell roadgrader.  They have a wide selection and may have fine thread.
