cwinn
Well question? At almost 50 and being a heavy truck/equipment mechanic working usually 10-12 hours a day . I seem to be exhausted lately. I have always taken 4-5 vitamins a day and compared to others I'm hardly ever sick. And I try to take a decent lunch with vegetables and yogurt .And drink a couple gallon of water a day .But would like more steam. Anyone using the Athletic greens,or other vitamin drinks or anything from GNC etc? I see them on You tube etc and it seems a few respectable guys use them? 🤔 Not sure. Just looking for opinions or what guys recommend. Or am I just old and wore out.....lmao.

Lol seriously it might be testosterone levels falling. Or we might just be getting old and slowing down. I would start with a good physical and a long talk with a dr/nutritionist. 🤷♂️
Lars (midessa)
Tongat Ali. Its a root herb from Southeast Asia that naturally boosts stamina. Also take vitamin D3, A, B complex, sweet potatoes, beets are natural ‘pick me up’, buy the sliced in a can, I eat right from the can, room temp. And of course coffee!! lol.

Dirt_Floor_Poor
Crawling all over trucks and equipment for 12 hours a day is a young man’s game. Combines to me are the worst. I’m not 50 yet, but I saw my dad really slow down after he turned fifty.

jass1660
Carnivore diet. Don’t eat any grains and very few vegetables, they are high in phytotoxins.

I think that could result in less energy during daylight hours and more energy during the night. It wouldn't be good when your Mrs found out either. 2
nomorejohndeere
A good supplement program can do wonders just like a good fertilization plan or pesticide program intermittent or misled, misguided approaches can lead to unintended consequences spend your money first on a checkup from a physician then kick back and realize you ain't the feller you once were

junkandcattle
When that happened to me a second doctor looked back at older blood tests and my iron count that was higher than average male. My newer tests showed iron was just average but low for me. Iron supplement solved the problem.

barkerwc4362
I turn 70 in July. No matter what happens and how hard you try, you are going to slow down as you age. Some of use more than others. I still walk at least 4 days a week, I am up to 5+ miles a shot. I used to run, but no more. Depending on your genetics you will add weight as you age, especially if you lived a very active lifestyle in your youth. Probably developed a lot of bad eating habits also. I eat much healthier than a lot of my contemporaries, but my mother was a wonderful cook and growing up I ate very well, which leads to me liking deserts. Not good! I would also avoid any of the energy products. I see what it has done to the military, don't want a dependence on caffeine or any of that stuff. Talk to the doc and be smart. Steve C.
My paternal grandpa had osteoarthritis in both knees so bad that he could hardly walk during the winter months. When I felt and heard symptoms of my own in my 40s, I started taking glucosamine. After a few weeks I noticed that my sore knee had stopped hurting and my noisy knee had quieted down. I'm in my late 60s now, work 35 - 40 hour weeks doing home repair, including lots of kneeling and climbing, and I have zero joint pain. Just for proof, I've let myself run out three or four times since I started taking it, and every single time I could feel the pain and stiffness starting to come back within a few days. I always make sure to have at least 6 months worth on hand at all times. I also take good fish oil (currently taking cod liver oil caps) which also helps with joints and other issues, especially circulatory. I also have some arthritis in my fingers, which I take care of with tart cherry concentrate capsules. I'd highly recommend finding a good chiropractor or naturopath to guide you through supplement use. There aren't many issues that can't be helped or cured using methods other than big pharma products.
CC_Ranger
9 hours ago, jass1660 said: Carnivore diet. Don’t eat any grains and very few vegetables, they are high in phytotoxins. I will second what Jass posted. The other thing is sugar. It is hidden everywhere and excess carbs turn to sugar. Sugar causes inflammation and that leads to a lot of issues as we age. I was doing really well on the keto/carnivore diet until right before Easter, too many treats and snacks that I gave in to, I felt it, my weight is up, my joints are stiff and swollen and I walk around like an man older than 61. Find what works for you for you and stick with it and don't worry about what folks say. Real whole foods are the best, avoid most processed foods and items with list of ingredients that you can't pronounce. Sleep is the other thing, good sleep and a clean diet make you feel young again. Of course, I was at a charity event today and overate and couldn't resist the double chocolate cake, back on the wagon this weekend!
