from H to 80
We got drafted to work on the soil conservation service's notill drill,it needs all new bolts on the unit attachment brackets. I ordered new one's from the dealer and in my opinion they are too short, the shoulder is not long enough to engage the main wear point. So i have searched all over the web looking for a hardened 1/2" X 8" carriage bolt with atleast a 6 1/2" shoulder with no luck, any suggestions on where to find them. Isn't there nylon bushings in there for the main wear point with the shoulder just used to stop rotation ?
from H to 80
5 1/2" metal bushings that show very little wear. the factory bolts are just a little short in my opinion, allowing the threads to wear in the hole, slightly longer bolts with a lock nut would take 90% of the slop out IMHO.
