Zebned
Looking to find out what an 8 bottom 700 IH on land plow might weigh for shipping purposes. Can't find any literature about the weight on the internet or at the local dealer and the plow isn't close enough to a scale to weigh it. So if anyone has any old literature that might have an approximate shipping weight, that would be great! But, I can't think the machine weighs over 7,500 pounds. 1480x3
I assume it is trailing ? Never saw the semi mount in as an 8 btm. Wouldn't think either would be over 7500 even in auto reset. But bet the trailing would be the heavier one though.
Zebned
Yes, it is a trailing plow with autoreset.

E160BHM
January 1984 price book shows 800 trailing plow with on-land hitch, 9 bottom with automatic beams at 7725 lb. No 8 bottom is listed.
EASY BOB
I have had quite a few 700 high clear pull type automatic reset plows , bought and sold. And hauled. Your 8 bottom should be right around 7500 lbs.
Matt Kirsch
7500 should give you plenty of wiggle room on the weight. One 8-bottom shouldn't weigh too much more than two 4-bottoms, and I can lift a 4-bottom easily with the 756 and 2350 loader. I've had buckets of wet snow that squatted the front tires and lifted the rear of the tractor more than that plow did.

Correct the 800 was 9 bottom on the smallest one available but we have an 8 bottom as previous owner cut one off to pull it with a JD..... 1
Zebned
Thanks to everyone for your input! That helps in finding a trucker willing to haul it!
