Qc.Can.IH man
That picture looks photo shopped, or at least enhanced! I don’t really cry when a John Deere burns… But on the other hand if an 86 series tractor was on fire I could cry enough to put the fire out! Lol 1

Dirt_Floor_Poor
I’ve had lots of combine fires over the years. A battery disconnect switch and a 3 gallon hand pump sprayer in the cab with you is better than any fire extinguisher when dealing with combine fires. I always, always try to put them out because we have way more in them than the insurance will pay. We’ve never lost one yet. 3

dads706
My neighbor burned a 2 year old green one this fall. He said when he turned with the wind behind him was the first time he saw smoke. By the time he got down the ladder, the whole thing was ablaze. That plastic burns quick, and hot too. 1

Once the tires ignite theres nothing you can do.
Captian Kirk
It would piss me off more if it was just filled with fuel. Waste of good fuel.
Farmall1066
Maybe we are looking at it all wrong? Maybe it’s like the terminator, it’s being reborn out of the flames?!
from H to 80
Looks like they tried the fire extinguisher. A friend of mine's Deere caught on fire years ago it had two fire extinguishers and neither one worked right,we ended up throwing a cooler full of water on it. Afterwards a fire fighter told me that even though they are charged that you need to turn them upside down and bounce them on a tire or something because the powder gets compacted over time.He suggested a a liquid type extinguisher,so that's what i put on mine, fortunately i've never had to use it.
