Old relics

There are places to get new workings. A friend of mine builds clocks on occasion. He buys from catalogs but a hobby shop may even have them. I'd install the original hands on a new mechanism if it were mine.

I did an old clock once with a new quartz mechanism purchased on fleabay. Picked hand length, style and everything for $10-$15. Turned a junk clock into a new vintage working antique.

I just replaced the motor in my shop clock for the second time in almost 30 years. Got the number off the motor and found from dealer first time, NOS on Ebay the second time. It's had several new florescent tubes over the years so I changed that while I was at it.

I'm sure it's worth something to someone. It would make a really cool wall hanger or fixer. It's a keeper to me! I have a small Pabst Blue Ribbon beer clock that's right twice a day too hanging in my shop.
