stronger800
My mistake, I see the loader now. I thought it was one of the early quick attach ones
Matt Kirsch
I said if it brought $4750 I'd buy it. It only brought $3100. I didn't buy it. After thinking about it I already have SEVENTEEN tractors between mine and my parents', and the barns that aren't falling down are full. It started on its own with NO ether, so some of the glow plugs were working. It was only running on about 4 cylinders for the first few minutes, then you could hear the other two pick up, and it really sounded good. Tires were shot. Rims were shot. Loader was decent. Fast hitch actually worked like it should. PTO would not stop unless you reefed on the PTO lever. Missing half the tin. Just wasn't good enough to make an exception to the "no more tractors" rule. 1

Struggling with the same emotions. Some guy named bitty has a 706 coming up that could be affordable. I should really have other priorities. I thought it had an engine swap to an 806 gas?

stronger800
So far my price estimate was the closest though. Now if I could only find a beautiful one with a turbo and a slightly oversized phallic looking chrome exhaust pipe for that kind of money….
jimw
I’d say 3 to 3500 around here . But with the big tires and 806 motor I’d probably go towards 5
Cummings1486
Tractor sold on the sale today. Ended up getting 3000 for it. Would have liked to seen alittle more out of it but it is what it is. It was extremely cold today, downright brutal really so that may have deterred some potential. I had people guessing 3 to4 and 4 to 5 so was on the lower end but hopefully the new owner will give it a good home. Had a 1086 with a 2350 loader on it with 8000 some hours on it and wasn’t the best shape brought 10000 and the 460 with loader brought 2000.
stronger800
I agree. I sold something little bit too cheap this fall. I figure that the guy that bought it, young guy, should have money left over to take care of it.

stronger800
But if you tried to build another one like it today….you’d feel like you had saved $8000. Who had the barn find super low hour one, with the sunken in rims halfway up the hubs that he clear coated?
hobbyfarm
If someone is actually going to run these older tractors they are mostly all cheap compared to modern horsepower.
stronger800
Oh for sure. Here in NY, big guys that have all the modern stuff still want older ones to run manure pumps, grain augers and mixers. 560 might be a bit light, but a large frame 66 series would sell instantly
bitty
560 pretty straight sold for 2500 at auction yesterday in north central PA. Dry cracked tires and needed paint on the rear rims
stronger800
I’d like to buy a clean one anywhere in the 2-3k range, just to paint it pretty with new tires and look at at. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a straight one here in NY. They are rare.
