Thankyou
Does anyone have a source for a pressure plate, clutch disk and throw out bearing for a 650 diesel with a hand clutch? The clutch housing was completely full of mouse house and everything is crusty and stuck solid. What I can see of the pressure plate is completely different than what I have found available online. You can take it out , disassemble and clean everything up. The disc could be reclined if need be, you might have to get creative. Do you have pictures of rest of tractor? Did you just buy it or have had it for a while?

I am in the process of getting it apart but the corrosion from the mice is pretty bad. The picture does not do it justice, there is a lot of the pressure plate that is eaten away by pee induced rust. I'll see if I can find pictures of the rest of it. I pull started it on the diesel side and it runs pretty good.

Thankyou
I picked it up on the border between Montana and North Dakota about a year ago. I've been spraying entire clutch housing down with penetrating oil every week for the last year. It is some seriously crusty bubbly rust. Some of the bolt heads are almost gone.

Don’t know what it has for clutch. That was the reason I was asking. We had a real nice 650 handclutch. A little weasel pecker and my sister shafted it out of my mom for about a penny on the dollar. A neighbor of ours had a hand clutch 806 with a rd pump he sold a couple years ago. I have seen a few hand clutch case tractors and IH too. This is pic of the hand clutch 650 we had

It has front mounted hydraulic pump like my W9. That 806 had to be a rare piece. The newest IH I've seen with a hand clutch is a local 660. Don't tell the rest of these guys IH and Case for that matter made hand clutch tractors after JD quit.

There was another tractor that the owner previously switched over to foot clutch.
65806
My grandpa bought a new 660 with a hand clutch. If I remember the clutch lever was also the TA so when you engaged the clutch it always started in TA then you moved the lever farther to get it into DD. That tractor left the farm 30 years ago so my memory might be wrong.
McCormick 40
That is correct 65806. That is how my 660D is.

Only built 200 of them or so.

IIRC my 856 owners manuel has a section on the adjustment of the overcenter clutch, but i could be mistaken. mightg be my 806 manuel

I swear a early 1206 I worked on was a hand clutch that was converted according to owner. I can remember tractor and unloading it even splitting it but just can’t remember specifics. mikem
I'm parting out a WD-9 with a hand clutch...... I need mostly sheet metal parts and drawbar.... I haven't been as far in as the clutch, so it is still all there... Condition is unknown at this point. If there is something here you need, the biggest expense will be getting it across the state. Let me know. (PM maybe?) Mike
ray54
Being a crawler guy and the clutch being on the left, and pulling to you to engage, and JD being opposite on both counts. Where did IH put and push or pull to engage?
nepoweshiekfarmalls
My O4 has the clutch lever on the right and moves forward to engage.

That looks like a Rockford clutch, it may be the same as used on the T and TD6 crawler tractors, can you get dimensions (OD) on the plate, item 21 in attached parts scan. Yes if I remember from the td9 we used to work on it is the same. In fact I think ever ended up using a wd9 flywheel on the td9 one time. The newer series 660 and up use a 403 and 503 combine pp and disc.
