red_reaper
Something to think about, since it's confirmed fender delete, and the WFE is off a 560, I wonder if it came with a single front wheel, or a narrow front? Is that setup popular up North for vegetable farms?

Is that setup popular up North for vegetable farms? I have a 1456 that sold new in that part of the world, and know of another originally delivered as fender deletes. By 1970, ice cream box cabs had been replaced by diamond cabs, and were fairly expensive in relation to aftermarket. In researching, dealers in that area sold quite a few fender deletes, only to retrofit them with various aftermarket cabs at a lesser cost than a factory installed diamond cab. My 1456 wears the same platform, has rub marks on the cowling, side lights, no wiring through the cowling for a factory cab, nor was it wired for the factory turn signal assembly. Unfortunately, the bracket you still have is long gone. Neat find!
Dzldenny
Dad purchased our 1026 brand new locally in 71. Ours was not a fender delete but it received a Year-a-Round QT-1 cab before he took delivery. Dad remembers it being the cheaper option at the time. The original fenders were delivered as well and put to use on our 706.

MN had cozy, hinniker and I think year around cabs built right in Minnesota for options.
nate
Got a little more done. Had to build up the pivot pin hole a bit and installed new bushings.
Farmall1066
Could have just snapped the original front axle, and that’s what was put back on from the salvage yard?! Either way, it’s a clean, straight looking 1026 that will get cared for well at your place!!
nate
Been working on it when time allows…. New thermostat bypass hose, new fuel return line. Had a step kit laying around so my dad and brother fabbed a bracket for it. Tilt wheel got welded up and rebushed. Hydro quadrant grab handle got ordered. Got most of the tin put on.
Drysleeves
Where did you source the tilt wheel bushing? I have a 1456 that will need one soon.

nate
The old girl is ready for work now. It will get 2-3 set of wheel weights as soon as they melt out of the snow bank. And may get a canopy if we can find a top. We have the roll bar already.

Jacka
Really, really nice.I wish mine looked as good but I saved it from the crack head thieves as it sat for years under bridge, abandoned by its previous owner as the crackheads slowly stripped it for anything they could sell. The salt from the road crews up above in winter did a number on it too.
