Mike56073
I need to order sweeps and shank bushings for my 4800 field cultivator. The problem is I cant get to it to count how many I need (shed doors are frozen in ice). Would anybody know offhand how many a 30 ft takes? On another note, I was thinking of going to Richmond Brothers sweeps, does anyone have experience with these, good or bad? Thanks!
Cliff Neubauer
They have a 6.5 or 6.6" shank spacing so you'll need approximately 60 sweeps. We put the Richmond sweeps behind the tractor tires on our field cultivator, went from wearing out Nichols sweeps in less than a season to having two seasons on the Richmond sweeps and I think they have at least two seasons left on them. Will probably change the rest of the machine over to them when it's time.

INTERNATIONAL 1466
Ours is a 27 1/2. It has 49, yours should be four more. A 32 has four extra on each wing, I am pretty sure yours will have two outside the main wing frame.

Cliff you were pretty close, I looked in the manual last night and it has 55. 60 seems like a good number to have some spares on hand!
