Tractor of the week: Week 6. 856

Here's my 856.

Dad bought it back in the early 70s from a friend who was buying a new 1066. Later dad bought the 1066 from the friend when he retired (shown in the 1066 thread). It was a fender delete tractor when new and spent a lot of time with a cotton picker mounted before we bought it. The fenders were added later. You might notice the front tires are off my old 915 and she needs some front end work.

The side panels and grill are taken off. The front bolster cracked and I got a used bolster/housing assembly. When I put it on my tractor the grill and side panels don't work. Apparently it's off an 806 or something....

806/856/1206 grills all interchange, as far as I’ve seen anyway.  Not the same, but they fit. Idk what you’d have there

Grew up in this tractor, was dad's now mine, won't ever leave.

Here’s mine from the uk trying to find out as much about the 856 as possible as they seem pretty obsolete over here

I skimmed through the pictures in this thread and only saw a few other wheatlands like yours. The International 856 has several differences from the much more common Farmall 856s.
