I had all four of mine running. 856 went first, it was a little reluctant but not bad. 756 was next, started right up. 1066 was third, probably spun over about twice and was running. Really love that! 826 was last and the most work by far. Took a shot of nose candy and a 200 amp booster. Purrs like a kitten once running though. Probably would have started the H if it were here just so they all got ran. When Dad got me involved in this game I looked for a 210 or 220 Allis for quite awhile. Chased a friend of mine's 220 at auction pretty hard once. Second place bidder. It was about 60 degrees that morning and they still had to give it a shot of either. We fed the neighbors cows extra not to run those days. They have only been plugged in a couple times this year. But here in Jan feb it has been more mild. DT Fan Posted February 19 Author Share Posted February 19 To elaborate a bit why I started them today. Talking to Gene Putz at the toy show yesterday the 826 came up. The flexplate being broken has been discussed as a possible reason for it not moving. He asked me if the pto works? I said I think so but don't remember for sure. Well, it seams to work just fine along with the lift arms steering and brakes. Going to have to dig a little deeper I guess. It was a really nice day here and just wanted to be outside. Ground is pretty sloppy so I didn't drive anything. Have some loader work to do with the 6080 but it will keep, a long time if it has to. Buddy bought a 7030 and I think owned it for 2 days, his uncle was a big Allis supporter and mentioned he has a generator and plugs them in while he is greasing and checking things over, went back the next day and traded or deal money put towards new IH drills, was way to warm in the season to be buying and using generators to convince your horse to run for his program Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In the forenoon I hooked the 300 up to the disk and disked the corn stalks I didn't get plowed under last fall: I didn't think it quite dry enough to plow, but after a couple passes in the dust I decided I'd go ahead and plow it down: The ground broke very well, and I was finished with all my corn ground a little after 6 yesterday evening. I pushed a Farmall 130 into my shop for an engine rebuild on the weekend. A few years ago I made this rig from part of a 3pth blade I got at an auction for 10 bucks. Had I known how handy it is I would have made some improvements to it but it works great the way it is, A push/pull bar is only as good as the helper. Didn't find anything exactly right but I found a screen door spring I can cut and bend new end hooks in I think. It looks correct except for length. Then fed cows with the 826 when I got home. Qc.Can.IH man Posted February 23 Share Posted February 23 Last Saturday (Feb 18) I used my hydro 186#3 to load 2 loads of hay to deliver to customers. I like to use this one to unload the trailers and stack in the dome because it has the PFC hydraulics and loader lifts a lot faster than the other 186.
