Fooled around with the new (to me) JD 101 corn picker and the 300 late yesterday evening. Have everything on the picker put back together, new pto shaft built, and gave it a test run. Everything turns but it seems I need to replace a couple grease fittings and tighten up some of the chains before fall. Also, and most importantly, need to build the brackets that mount the picker to the tractor. My idea of using the 3pt hitch didn't work at all, so back to the drawing board.

Also got out the 340 to haul the rear tine tiller down to the turnip patch; could've walked it down but the little guy just looked bored sitting there in the shop so I gave him a little job.

Baled straw with the Super MTA.

Two days ago, I used the W-6 on the grain trailer while the landlord combined the oats.

Pretty pathetic return on investment this year thanks to the herd of elk living on this ranch.  About 2/3rds of a trailer of grain and 273 straw bales from 16 acres. But the field is back into orchard grass and from the looks of things, it started very well!

Got these two ready for the county fair tractor pull this weekend. The C had to lose about 350 lbs... And little tune up, and little valve adjusting...runs nice. But its just a C. I've never bothered to take it, but I figure we might as well take it once and see what she'll do.

The Super M stands ever ready. Unhook the hay wagon, take her to the pull, win a trophy, bring her back to work, and repeat! I did give her a bath, at least.

And I know some of y'all don't like the WD-40 polished look. But it sure does make these faded ol red tractors shine under the county fair lights!

The plan is to take 7 or 8 tractors, if all goes well. I'll do my best to take pictures for y'all.

I'd like to add - the ol Super M has 93xx hours on a WORKING hour meter. Also, it appears I need to air up the front tires!

This morning wrapped the baleage I baled yesterday evening. Loaded with the 886.

Laid pipe to irrigate soybeans, should have last week. Hauled the pipe trailer with the 826.

Disassembled our big auger 13-82 to find the bent spot. Pulled the auger out the top. The bend was at the connection of the bottom and middle augers. Picked up the bottom of the auger with the 886 so we could pull it out the top.

With all the rain we've had the driveway was getting some pretty deep ruts in it.

I took the 966 with dozer blade and 3pt Gnuse bucket and hauled in sand and bladed it back to passable.

Widened it out some too..

Really need a load of rock to shore it up.

Until i noticed hyd oil coming out from under the battery and it wouldn't go in forward very well, but was able to back it home.

Because I don't know the actual name, I will call it a signal line for forward, had cracked a fitting

I didn't have to go far for a replacement line as I just happen to have a salvage 656H. (framed in the grapple)

The line I salvaged looked way more better than the one with the cracked flare fitting I replaced

And I was able to be back up and running with no cost but some time.
