What did you do with your Red tractor today?

Why?

It only has reverse. Nothing connects to go forward. We blew a front tire on tractor a couple months ago and the fork had broken right before that. I put new tire on rim but needed that for 1586 a couple weeks ago. Got another tire put that on 1586 so it has new matching fronts and rears. I took the odd tire put it on here until I can buy two more new tires. Any way tractor goes 11 mph backwards so it was a toss up to load it or just take an hour and drive it back to spot we can wash it off and fix it. So we backed it there

My gut says it was stuck in reverse. Couldn't get it in neutral so you either drug it in gear onto a trailer,  drove it in reverse onto a trailer but then you Either work on it on the trailer or skid it off. Or work on it in place. He was 10 miles away. Our experience on working on stuff in the field that far away usually means multiple trips to and from the shop because you don't have everything you need to do get the job done.

Exactly. Plus we want to bolt duals on and they are at place we drove it to.

I know people who feed him trash to cattle.

I sprayed stam and permit on some rice and then we got a thunderstorm but we only got a trace of rain...

Finished putting the plunger back in the baler after sharping the knives. Used the H to test drive the NH 273. They are a pretty good match.

Baled 110 bales of alfalfa/grass off two acres at the house.  I dropped the baler and hooked to the hay rack.

Just barely got the bales off the field when the rain came. Safe and sound in the shed!

Started out with the 806. Rear tire went flat about 2 1/2 miles from home. Hauled it back home and took the 756 out to bush hog.

Removed the Rops and canopy from the Hydro 84.  I also replaced the key switch with a new one.  Next I'll have to see how much the exhaust needs trimmed down to fit everywhere in the cattle barn.

Spent the day yesterday putting the sheet-metal back on the 856. Moved the step-toolbox forward and put a regular step on. Aaron stopped by on his way home and helped a bit. Cleaned up some ugly looking wiring. Good day.

Bead-breaker showed up, so will be working on changing tires on the H today.

What are you pulling behind to build the dam? I see a tarp on each one what is that for? Where is the water coming from the river and do you have to pump it?

Stuck a radio on the old 300 today. Found this (Lord forgive me) JD radio at a local pawn shop for $25. Guy didn't know anything about it, but it works well!

I made the bracket out of scrap I had laying around, powered it off the hot post on the solenoid and grounded it to a hood bolt. I can pick up several local stations even in my metal shop building, and they are sure enough loud!

Bush hogged with the 756 today.   When finishing up it started to miss. Guess it's time to tune it up.

That's two of us, though mine was running good when I put it away.

I had spent most of the day changing tires on that H. Knew it wasn't going to be easy but holy cow! It's like the tires and rims fused together over the years! New bead-breaker got the job done though I had to use two cold chisels to get started on the left tire. Took a few pictures along the way, finally had to quit when I was putting the tube in the last one. Stem ripped off, didn't like that tube anyway but wanted to get it back together. Off to the local tire shop this morning.

That's the same bead breaker I bought. How do like it? I'm hoping to find a good used tire for the 806. I wasn't about to leave it set along the road over the weekend. Nice looking H you have there DT. Had a little lot to bush hog this morning. Got it done now to to get the 756 home to tune it up.

Pretty impressed with the bead-breaker, especially since it's kind of the economy model. Had borrowed the neighbors slide-hammer style, it helped but was not getting the job done.

I'll probably run the 7 a little more today. Getting caught up and waiting on the neighbor to mow the grass he's going to bale. Have been trying to leave him as much as possible. He's always short on hay.
