From Wednesday. Blew all the carbon out of a baling customer’s gas 706. Not enough hp for the job. On flat ground it would be fine, or if I didn’t need the ground speed to get good windrow formation. Won’t hold HI 3 DD up the hill.

That's a lotta rake for a gas 706!

Another one followed us home.

We were going to try to get it running to load it, but the guy that had it said we would be wasting our time.  So we just pushed it up on the trailer and brought it home.

45 minutes later, some gas, blowing out the fuel lines, and setting the points (they were set at .030!) and we had her runnin.

And she was cheap.

Couldn't you have got the factory joystick that goes in the side console by the range lever?

Hadn't thought about that as I was never near one of these

I'll pass on it for that kind of jingle. I might have to shorten the handle to get it more room in the cab

I have the factory joystick in the console of my MX170 if you want to see what that looks like.  I wouldn’t go any other way.  I think a generic joystick can be found that will pretty much match the factory deal.  You have a Euro with the right hand door; a console joystick would leave that usable, and I am surprised how often I use that door yet.

The right door became unusable when we put the corn planter monitor two way radio and GPS in. I'm used to a magnum where I only use the left door anyway so the right door is not really thought of so you never walk towards it. I remember years ago with a 5140 you used it but it still was a little more cramped getting passed the shifter

Getting closer. I need to figure out what to get for the 3 fittings for the power beyond plate. Hose looks like metric ends. Have to hook cables up for the joystick also . I had to alter the foot throttle to fit around the joystick mount. Added the red rod and then cut the original away and smoothed the joint

About 15 yrs ago i rented a barn a couple mile down road. I used his JD 6410 & loader to put round bales in. The   door latch handle was getting tricky to get door open from inside only, outside worked fine. Well it finally happened, I got trapped inside. At 340 pounds i dragged a lot of body parts over all the stuff outside the back window getting to the ground. Back home i called JD parts man and told him what i needed for "Rod's" tractor. He knew the tractor as they sold it new.  Next he says "right or left door ? "  To which i say "what do you mean right door "  we argued on the existance of the right door.  He was right, i had used the tractor 6-8 yrs and never noticed the right door

Watering rice. Not using a red tractor but am using an IH 304 LPG engine to run the pump. I'll get a pic of the engine later.

Here's some of the water going on the rice. I was using multiple inlets.

Spent a relaxing day on the 806 bush hogging.  No break downs so that made it even more relaxing. Think I'm done for a week or 2 before the rest is ready to do.

I spent the day in my 806 finally cutting my hay.

What size rear tires are you running on your 806?  I got a cab sitting in the barn with all the brackets to put on my 806 but never put it on.

Did some mowing with the 1650, not technically Red but close enough. Then tried to drag the donor 'M' to the concrete but spun out in the gravel. Had fun trying tough!

I really need to get the tension adjusted on the hydro lever, way to stiff on this thing. It does a nice job on the grass.

Got to work on the corrals some more today

93° and 30% humidity, Ima sweatin.........

started to drag the tub up to it's final resting place with the 656 Hydro

Worked real well, I could sit on the fender and run the hydro and steer while having a good view of what was going on behind me (slow is fast!)

Ooh, top of 966 could use a splash of paint😪

DJI_0038.thumb.JPG.612a7785bbd9289d853ea0df7e8400a1.JPG

Hit some soft ground and a bit steep, had to reposition and rechain a few times, kind of a tight fit

DJI_0039.thumb.JPG.78e6e258283891e3aed78935221c7df7.JPG

More repositioning and rechaining, the F20 forklift was kinda limited as it didn't want to get around in the soft ground real well

DJI_0040.thumb.JPG.e75071bb75632bad103e016f5ba4ab08.JPG

Brought in the second 656 to help clock it around to match up to the alleyways

DJI_0041.thumb.JPG.ba1ff2beb753309ec2c7d631a80b0a66.JPG

Ran outta time, have to go after a load of fuel.

I was about done in anyway.

Needed me a couple helper monkeys😄

I’m pretty sure they are 16.9 x 38 but it’s been awhile since I put them on. Used the step up rims on the 34 centers. I need to do the same thing with a 756 I have.

Oh...tim!  My mx170 had the alo stick which I assume you got.  Mounted in the factory position.  There are hole/grommets down under the shifter already for the cables.  They swept down and the up to block. There was a little bracket to keep cables tidy and away from exhaust elbow at frt rt cab corner.  We then superglue the oem boot to the opening since the alo one don't have  a attaching pt.  And put 14000 hrs on it all perfectly.  One of the nicest operating loader controls I've ever used.  We all liked it a little more than the new Puma and T7.  More "feel" and short move for hand

Otherwise I've seen a 1x1 heavy wall stick from floor to joystick.  There is a alo bracket for the floor and prob not to bad and fits slick and tight
