What did you do with your Red tractor today?

Got a little seat time on the 756 today after installing the NEW blades on the Mohawk 840 mower. This is my 4th season mowing with it. Have sharpened the old ones every year. As you can see in the picture, it was time for new ones! Really like running the 7, probably could go in my 'more luck than sense' thread. Bought a pig in a poke and it came out sweet! Also took a couple of pics of the flywheel off the 856. The heat cracks really bothered me so I ordered a new one, hope it gets here today or tomorrow so I can get it to the shop.

I am currently in town with my 1256 pulling dead trees out, contributing to the many clean up projects as part of preparation for the Centenial Celebrations of our village on July 1st weekend. The planning committee has 3 days of activities planned.

I didn't know what to expect when I started to lift and pull with the 3pt but they pop right out.

I put the canopy on this 1066 today in anticipation of putting it on the 7ft rotary cutter and David washed 1466 # 7103 as we begin to think about painting it.

Getting ready to install a loader on the MX 135. Got this 6 year old loader for it. I'm hoping to only have to remove the front 3 pt arms

Stripped the loader off the 1956 Cub Low Boy. Messed with it part of yesterday and today. Got it running, drove it around a little. Seems like it will be a good one. Hydraulics work for the fast hitch. I need to pull the carb off again and figure out why it keeps dripping. Must need to adjust the float. Or the float has a hole in it. Already changed one float because it had a hole. Might be the same problem on the parts carb.

Have a few more things to do but it’s a start.

Loading rice, spraying soybeans, flooding rice. I'm going in too many different directions all at once.

Here's a pic of my wife spraying soybeans while I ate lunch. I took the pic too far away and zoomed in but it didn't work quite right.

Made a few turns and saw a little wiggle up front...

Uh oh ... That looks a bit loose. Found a stray nut in the toolbox. Snugged up the three bolts that were left and kept going. My son brought another bolt to the field so I could finish in the dark without obsessing over if the axle was loose again.

My neighbor plants oats in the spring and chops them and replants corn for silage. Today they chopped the oats and he asked if I could come help him disc the oats stubble. I went over with the 5488 and 24' Krause disc, and he tan his 7140 and 24' 496.  We were both traveling about identical speed, 6.0 MPH or a little better. We disced about 130 acres in  5 hours. The Coop elevator was there spreading dry fertilizer so it was a busy place.  Then when we finished discing someone came in with a 30 foot plus finisher behind an STX something tractor. I came past about 10 tonight and they were still out there with the finisher and planting.

Sorry, forgot to get pictures.

Cut weeds with the old 806 and 10ft BushHog 3point shredder. Have had lots of rain but cut a lot of weeds in L3 with the TA back and it had a pretty good stream of smoke going out of it for a couple of hours. Good exercise for the ol tractor.

From Wednesday. Blew all the carbon out of a baling customer’s gas 706. Not enough hp for the job. On flat ground it would be fine, or if I didn’t need the ground speed to get good windrow formation. Won’t hold HI 3 DD up the hill.

Sprayed some Basagran on borders of a soybean field with some Canada Thistle coming through. Non GMO beans so limited on chemical choices.

Got the 1000 gallon sprayer on the 1066 I call Fugly. Good mechanically tractor but needs paint bad. I bought it on Auction Time a few years ago and it came from Kansas. Supposedly the 3000 hours are actual, the guy selling it says his dad bought it new.

This tractor has the best AC of any of the 4 here with AC. I replaced the cab interior and cowl cover and floor mat after I bought it.  Quieted it down a lot.

Getting closer. I need to figure out what to get for the 3 fittings for the power beyond plate. Hose looks like metric ends. Have to hook cables up for the joystick also . I had to alter the foot throttle to fit around the joystick mount. Added the red rod and then cut the original away and smoothed the joint
