FarmerFixEmUp
I was checking some fields a couple days ago and noticed the last soybean field I planted had a lot of gaps with no plants, they were under a crust maybe 1/4" thick. Had some rain last Saturday that came down pretty fast, .6". Then a few days in the mid 80's. The plants were pretty yellow and didn't look like they were gong to break through in spots, so dug the 15' M&W rotary hoe out of the shed. Went on the 806. Dad always said don't hoe beans, but I kept it at 6 MPH or less so the plants didn't get tore out of the ground. First time I've ever had to hoe soybeans. Did the whole 42 acres yesterday. Could use the min till model, at times root balls were stopping the wheels from turning. I usually plant the beans 1 1'2" deep, so hopefully they have a decent root. I think it did a good job, and we had .7" of rain so far this morning, so should be OK.

You took the hitch off and put it on the back side to pull it down the road so the spikes wouldn't wear so much. It actually worked pretty well for soybeans pulling it backwards. acem
'dry' water seeded rice. It has been too wet to no till drill these rice paddies but not wet enough to water seed. It's crusted over just enough to drive on. I spread seed on top and will flood the field.

Unfortunately had replant corn…but my 10 year old didn’t mind since school was now out https://www.facebook.com/100081751930377/posts/pfbid02Q3tzSC7qmkgfqWoVer9EPGXT1jfEu8fLc9Vvw7HqDpBn7y1mx1LhtURRvuaXLDUGl/?mibextid=jf9HGS
Absent Minded Farmer
Pounded out some idiot cubes & had fun doing it. And figured out if you rub the ends of the twine together for a splice, just cheat already & use super glue. It held better than slobber & a knot. Might make a vid of just that topic in the future. MT Matt
Finished the last repairs to the Super MTA. Found the right oil pressure gauge from the parts bin, had one that worked but wasn’t IH. Couldn’t hardly read it. Also installed a cheap-o temp gauge but it is better than one not working at all. Then new spark plugs and o-rings in the hydro block under the pump. Best improvement was finally repairing the floppy clutch pedal. I think the cross shaft had given all it could. I have an 83 year old friend who is a machinist and he cut the pedal to accept a bushing on his milling machine. Good as new! Well better, this can easily be replaced when it wears out. We used a king pin bushing and cut it in half so the grease groove was still open in the center. New seals and cross shaft. It’s pretty strange how the clutch feels when pushed in. The transmission shifts like it should now also. All of the TA linkage is properly adjusted too.

sandhiller
Used the 656 and F20 to lift the tub up so I could drive out from underneath it. Used F20 to hang wings on. Now that I actually got it here I think I can make it work like I had envisioned with a couple minor changes.

MT Matt
Went on a little road trip with the H to a ranch about 5 miles to the west. The owner had a brush mower that I needed to drag home. I’ve been needing a brush hog for some time but all I’ve ever seen are 3 pt mounts. This is hitch mounted and has hydraulics. I greased it up and gave it a go. I need an overrunning clutch on the pto but it mows nicely. I have a job cutting about 5 acres in a horse pasture for a lady so I’ll pay for it in one job. Pretty good deal even though it’s green… 🤣
