Wes806 Posted March 12 Share Posted March 12 Put the bush hog on the 756 to go up in the woods. Then went to a consignment sell. Watched a M sell for 1500.00 and a 1086 with duals sell for 15750.00. The Mwas in decent shape . The 1086 lookrf to have painted with spray cans no decals otherwise ran good as did the M. If I'd had the cash the M would of had proably came home with me. IKS Posted March 12 Share Posted March 12 I used them both yesterday to deal with the remains of the system Cobfly shared . I plowed the road to the highway with my 434 and cleaned my yard again with the 1256.Plow on the 12 lost a gearbox bearing so it is only there for traction. IKS Posted March 14 Share Posted March 14 The 1256,my pride and joy was kind of ornery today. When I went to start it the starter wouldn't engage. I wasn't sure what was up so I boosted a while with no change so proceeded to get a small wrench and short across the solenoid, it took a fair bit of cranking because we have been without power since 4 this morning. Farmall1066 Posted March 25 Share Posted March 25 Finally got the block, head, and crankshaft back for the 1256 wheatland, started putting it back together and already encountered the first issue with garbage overhaul parts! The thrust bearing is either made wrong, or for a different engine? It just drops right in the cap, and block, and can wiggle it side to side. So waiting for a bearing set! And believe it or not, this was not a reliance kit, and the last few reliance bearing kits I’ve used were actually decent. So as of right now, I trust reliance more than this other kit! Now it does not take a half a turn of the wheel before any thing happens ,or the wheel comes off the shaft with hardly any effort.Still trying figure why I wanted one ? Loaded up the calf and took him for a ride to see how big he is getting. A bit over 1100#. More than I was guessing. An Austrian CASE IH model of 68 Horsepower from 2000 was replaced by a JXU 105 model (105 U for the American market) from 2013 and equipped with a Front loader. It has 2300 hours, lots of equipment that will change my life. Hopefully it's a reliable model. Sorry it's not an International Harvester model. But I have to get an old 1958 Farmall Diesel running again.
