About all the 256 wanted in some places. The hydro rake manages better.

Went the blueberry farm to meet hs friend. notice the tarps had come out the Farmall C and the Super c . In order to sort out the tarp tangles . I had to crawl around in and under the tarps. Noticed a what I thought was a new eye floater. It was really an ant 🐜 on my hat brim . Backed out ,I had ants all over me . Spent some time dancing around . Trying to get them off of me.
No picture of the event .
Here are a few of the blueberries, garden ,buckwheat .and free lance grape vine.
We have bee hives though out the farm .
They ran the tranplanter over the broadcast buckwheat to plants the garden. Don’t have to cultivate or mow it.

The blasted deer got my watermelon patch, so decided to plow it down with the 300 and two bottom JD plow... crabgrass and melon vines don't plow for beans. After wadding it up twice, went and got the disk. That worked much better! After the grass is all dead I'll try plowing it under again. No pictures, too hot and pizzed off!

Been a busy couple of weeks with wheat, straw, spraying beans, 2nd cutting hay and oats.

Still have a bit over 20 acres of hay to go on second cutting. Then hopefully a lull before 3rd cutting.

going for the pass

I know you appear capable of making some hay.  But why the low rpm?  We tried that 1 season decades ago to save fuel with my Hesston MoCo.  Yeah, burned clutches on mower up quick not going 1000rpm.

Looks like decent hay

I always think back.  So 40 years ago farmers could buy a new truck for low use.  Today very very very few farms could buy a new truck off the lot for full time use let alone harvest.  Another consequence of unchecked money printing and fiscal foolishness from all parties imho

Fwiw.  We have been getting the 20buck mechless Jensen decks on Amazon.  Seem to be working fine.  But the mechanical Less is a game changer!   Only about 2"-3" deep so easy peazy getting fit with stiff old wiring.  Headloner quiet her down any?

I like these $100 Sony/kenwood style.  Have 6 of them now, oldest has gotta be 15 years old.  I bought a cheaper Jensen years ago and didn’t like it but I don’t recall why. Headliner wasn’t really needed, but i had one, and had the spray glue out.

My tach looks to be at about pto speed to me.  We have run everything on the low side of PTO for years.    But always have enough Hp too, so it isn’t like they drop much below that.

I drug a couple small block Chevy engines out of an old garage with my Hydro 70 today. My grandpa built the garage from used lumber in the 30s and didn't like where it was so he poured a new foundation with pit run gravel in the 40s and moved to to where it is today. The garage is about to cave in so I am getting things out of it that I want to keep. The engines are probably going to scrap since the roof leaked for years and they are most likely junk now. One is a 67 283 Powerglide engine and the other is supposedly a 1974 350, 4 bolt main engine. I don't know, it was given to me back in the 90s and I never looked into it. I'll probably tear them down to see if there is anything left of them. Also have early Model T windshields and a 1934 Plymouth 2 door sedan spare tire carrier I took out.

Found a stump yesterday...

Worked on the mower this morning. Got it working but pretty certain I twisted the hex shaft...

Installed the chassis decals on the W-6 and waxed it up.  Put another coat of paint on the muffler after this photo.

I might have a couple laying around yet. I sold 2 67  impalas with powerglides but no engines recently. I know I have a 52 and a 62 cast iron Powerglide, but I don't think there's much market for those ones anymore.

Final assembly is done.  Time for the glamor shots.  In the pictures are Chris and Josh who helped me with the restoration.
