Diesel Doctor
20 hours ago, nepoweshiekfarmalls said: Never got above -5 on the drive into work this morning. My Polaris Ranger cranked over good this morning, but refused to fire up. My beat around Honda Civic refused to start when the first cold snap hit. The cold killed three of the four "over the plug" coils. Never had that happen before. Cold does strange things? PS: It was down to -20 below in the upper Midwest and not a peep out of the main stream press. The cold just hit the east coast and it is now a disaster.

Yup the lame stream media they only care about their back yard They didn't even get below zero in NYC yet it's "generational cold" I wish they all would move to Ukraine to help them with their knowledge and leave us Swamp Yankees alone

New Englander
One place in New Hampshire got a little colder than most. Mt Washington had sustained winds around 100 mph with gusts to 128. Wind chill of -108, a record. I believe they've had colder than the -35 or so and higher winds but never the combination to get the extreme chill. Edit: Yeah, record wind speed is 231 mph and record low is -46.
