IHhogfarmer
I think this has been done before since I’ve been here. But I got this idea from the Favorite IH tractors on the Farm thread and thought it would be neat to see some of your guys favorite pickups you’ve owned over the years. This is my 1992 GMC 1500 single cab, long bed. Its name is “Phantom 392” coming from a Red Sovine song titled “Phantom 309.” For mine I kept the 3 because it has a 350 engine and 92 is for the year. Anyhow mine has 4wd and now has over 227,000 miles. Actually today I turned over 19,000 miles since I’ve had it. Phantom was manufactured in June of ‘92 and was sold October 21st that year in my hometown with 185 miles on it. That dealer is now a restaurant. Here’s the most recent picture taken of Phantom from last weekend. I am going to college right now at West Texas A&M in Canyon and this was taken southwest of town Share all types, I’d like to see what you all have! I share more on my pickup later!
hardtail
I like my 03 Duramax CCLB, all it ever does is work, got an 87 K2500 that is Jeff's barn foundation relocation machine, 67 C10 that still needs finishing, 350 auto, not sure if that will change, one of my previous favorites was 80 shortbox, 396, turbo 400 and 373's that I built.
gafarm49
I went small on the last ones and love them
drglinski
I've only had 3 and they've all been good trucks. 84 GMC S15 Sierra, 97 Chevy S10 and now a 2012 Silverado. So far I like the Silverado the best. It's big enough to haul my family and camper/trailer but not so large I can't take it most places.
twostepn2001
Guess l have two favorites. The black one is a ''95 F-150 with a 5.0 V-8 and a 5 speed manual. Had A/C and new tires when l bought it. l got from a friend that was trying to get enough money for a down payment on a new Mustang. l literally found this '67 F-100 in a barn. Belonged to a older farmer that was trying to sell it for his sister. l bought it from him for a"firm" $1500.00 and no less... 😉 lt had 30,900 original miles on it. Kind of a odd one though. lt has a 360 V-8 but a 3 speed column shift. Also has a dealer add-on A/C that still blows cold air. And has the original lightning gear logo on the floor mat. Since it was a spur of the moment buy, all we had to secure it with was some ratchet straps. we eased in to the next town and bought some chains and boomers.

junkandcattle
By far my favorite was my first. 1973 F250 high boy bought used in 1976 with 60000 miles. It was a bare bones truck no power steering and AM radio.
DaveinSD
I got it down to my favorite three… I know the one picture is really bad but you can kind of see the 68 908c and the 71 1210 4x4. The 71 spent many years as my tow rig and “big pickup”, still runs around the gravel a bit, but really needs a fresh motor. The 68 I ended up with from a friend, I don’t usually have any interest in 2wd pickups, but it’s a unique model so I said what the heck. I ended really liking it, lots of fun when the weather is decent, not to mention the 266 and three speed actually gets decent fuel mileage. Last but not least is the 95 F250 with the Powerstroke 7.3. The difference the diesel makes for towing is night and day, it took me a long time to find a clean one that I could afford, but I finally got it done.

lotsaIHCs
56 Chevy short box. Bought it right after high school in 87. Still have it. Just don't have a good pic in my phone right now. 7
hobbyfarm
1996 dodge ram 2500 club cab. 5.9 cummins with a 5 speed. At one point it needed injectors and it got turned up quite a bit from stock. It really went. I kept it inside but despite all efforts rust was starting to win. Sold it a few years ago while i still could get good money for it. Wish I would have fixed it but the rust repair cost at the time was something like 10 grand with a full paint job.
DT Fan
Favorite truck I've owned was a '97 GMC that I ordered new, 5 speed and all. Great truck, wish I still had it! Of course it would be rotted out like no other now. Traded it for the '03 I'm still driving. It's been pretty good too.
Wes806
My 1995 Dodge 3500 with 12vavle 5.9 cummins with 5 speed. {whatever size 5.9 is]. Next one would be 1985 Ford f250 with 302 4 speed. I rebuilt the rear leaf springs on it could haul 5 ton on it and wouldn't drop the rear end none. It would pull good but sometimes it was slow going. Farming Enthusiast
My favorite is my 2011 f150 with 5.0. Much better ride and power and just an over all much better truck than my 04 f150 I had. Second place would go to a 2000 Silverado with 5.3 I had.
DT Fan
Dad bought a '77 f150 Ranger XLT new. Great looking truck. The 302 under the hood was the most gutless wonder I've ever seen!
