Haven't seen brown dirt since the end of October with some cold spells. I keep telling myself, I can buy more diesel, can't buy more snowmelt. Maybe there will be some leftover for you Hiller!😆

As much as I appreciate your offer Cob, we are getting enough for now.

Here we need snow cover to keep the sand from blowing in the winter and we got it!

I'd just like to see it melt down some so it was easier to get around.

Three more inches today

Another 6 to 9" coming in tomorrow night followed by a few sub zero nights.

Glad I am feeding with old smokey diesels.

Bring on the globull warming🤣

I’d say it’s been a pretty warm winter here so far. Been a couple of cold snaps but nothing to extreme. Haven’t seen -40 yet anyways. Hasn’t been any snow to speak of in the last 30 or so days either. Had 3-4 inches early this morning and thawing temps all day with a strong northwest wind. Like hardtail said the cool down is on its way now.  Looking forward to it in a at. Roads have been very sloppy all week.  Nice to have them dry again with no salt.

Same here in Rugby ND. January has been a nice month we have got quite a bit done. Today was warm about 30 above. But wind and snow in afternoon changed it up. Had to make other plans for what we wanted to do.supposed to be cold next 5 or 6 days but then around 10 above so you can be outside in it.

There is a small town bar about 40 miles away. They changed owners a couple years ago. They are specialists in bulk beer sales. Gossip is people from over 100 miles away come to buy beer by the pallet. They say very couple months he gets a semi load of beer. I think it is usually only one kind of beer he sells in bulk.

In my part of western ny it’s been a pretty muddy winter so far. Finally starting to get a little more normal now. Good 4-6” last night and ground is starting to firm up but mud freezes slow. Next week high of 20 will help that along. A number of years ago I remember plowing snow every day for the first 2 weeks of the year.

Did I mention I hate mud?

North Texas 01/27/23

Was ice in my rain water collector yesterday, gone today.

Down to 31F  last night expected to get into the 50's today.

Expect rain within the next 2 weeks.

No ice around and no snow since a little bit last year.

Typical North Texas winter.

Looking forward to early April so we can  get some seeds in the ground.

You have that much up there?! Holy cow! We only have, at best 2 ft by Mora!

That's total snow fall not actual depth as it settles down. The on blast we got in December it was 30" of wet heavy stuff! Right now the depth total is 30". Up Silver Bay area they have almost twice that amount!

We've had snow on the ground since mid November and we're probably not much past the half way point.   Got at Alberta Clipper passing through right now and got a couple inches of snow Thursday night.

I'm so sick of winter and bored I actually have been going out to the shop and working on the Cyclo planter.   At least I can dream about spring.  The problem now is I have to wait until mid February for Shoup to have the 10% off sale so I can get the rest of the parts and put the planter back together again.   It's just good to think spring, all the while cussing about CIH discontinuing the simplest planter ever built.

No field work any time soon in central ND. -2F here now, supposed to be -20F tonight. About 2-3 feet of snow on the flat. Supposed to have a couple of days in the mis 20s this week but teens above to negative single digits F. for the next 2 weeks.

Here is the way we started this morning. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse. The horses worked excellent and the backwards M started after being plugged into the generator for a few hours.74480C8C-7CA4-418E-8AB1-6F6CA6162F84.thumb.jpeg.915b4a344312a1447283fd5eb2ffdb10.jpeg9389B519-36CC-43C5-A955-2BC4317A520C.thumb.jpeg.9300aa216e17b3fe06d8f4a92a097c06.jpegC330AD3E-98E3-41E6-BAF4-C8EBA3C0B4B2.thumb.jpeg.d86e8236f277253352bfc552ad6b507a.jpegBEFE77FD-3AEC-4BE1-AE49-001A664150C6.thumb.jpeg.2469fdacf677d6a92908ee7fcdd00d09.jpeg
