Jake19917561
Y’all think I should try and save this trailer? It’s gonna go to scrap but I think someone may want it, what y’all think? 16’ long 8’ wide utility

I wouldn't scrap it if it was in our area.

Doug in NY
bale retriever is what I was thinking also
vtfireman85
If it wasn’t in California I would love it. I definitely think you could liquidate it at a price worth your while
Lazy WP
More than $100 it’s junk, IMHO
ray54
I am a saver of junk, and would not be in rush to send it off to scrap. But at the same time I don't see it worth any cash. Looks like the kind of place I always enjoy looking around. From your comments elsewhere on here, the old man accumulated, and now the next or at least the third generation is pushing for clean up and cash it all in? Very jealous that your grass is far ahead of what we have in San Luis Obispo county.
Matt Kirsch
Folks who don't have imagination wouldn't even look at it for anything but scrap. Folks who do have imagination wouldn't want to pay much, if any, more than scrap value for it. If it were here on one of William Kent's online auctions it would bring hundreds of dollars. Way more than scrap.
Jake19917561
It’s not my trailer, owner says it’s scrap but if someone wanted to come haul it away for scrap or? They could take it I’m sure. Scrap man ain’t paying him anything for it all.

hobbyfarm
If the tires are decent and the hitch is ok I could see $800 here. The side lot jockey guy would have twice that on it.
nepoweshiekfarmalls
Is that a Pontiac Fiero in the background? 🤪
Diesel Doctor
It looks like a Fiero. The only car I ever drove that took a whip and a chair to keep it on the road. I thought all those burned?

edwardporter1
Stout trailer not enough room to max out hauling bales. Couple boards on the floor and 4 ft sides , good grain hauler. I would get it

The owner loves them. The white ones seized, he wants it for parts for his red one.
Matt Kirsch
Can anyone tell what kind of wheels and tires are on it? Drop centers or split rims? 20's? That might be a deal-breaker for all but the most imaginative. If you dragged that into the scrapyard with 8 tires on it they'd charge you to take it. Jake19917561
Here’s more pics, who knows what the guy’ll do with the tires when he cuts it up? 🤷🏽♂️
Lars (midessa)
Air brakes work? Lights? Would love to have a couple trailers like that here! All fuel trucks here have pintel hitch’s. All were originally ‘West Coast Doubles’, a straight truck setup to pull a pup trailer. Definitely save it!
Lars (midessa)
Can’t tell from my phone, doesn’t look to be split rims, possible Budd rims? Those are no problem, running 2 trucks with them currently.
acem
The trailer looks useful to me. 6 hole Bud wheels with split risk not a deal breaker but will need tires if used much.
Lars (midessa)
The more I look at, do I see a differential on the rear axle? Possible homemade? May never pass D.O.T. inspection.
arizonian
Looks like air cans
oldscoutdiesel
I think the rear axle is straight and simply has air cans like the front axle.
