Lincoln is only a little over an hour away.  Theres also hotels in Crete and York.  York being the closest.

Hastings is only 18 miles south and lots of hotels too. Dannabrog, Roger Welsh’s hometown is 30 miles northwest. Everyone should find Worms

If you are coming from the south, Hutchinson Kansas has an underground salt mine museum.
From the north, the Corn Palace in Mitchell SD.

West, stop in North Platte and take in the Golden Spike.

My BIL has the bar set up and stocked in Grand Island. 😃

South Dakota will be revealing the No Till Planter on the Super M LP to the world.

It will be donated to the National in a ceremony during RPRU 2023.

I will post more info on where it will be located and when the ceremony will be held when known.

What bar? We found a Bristo bar in Grand Island that had the best food around, as long as you weren’t interested in steak

Would that be Tommy Gunz Bistro? Found it on the map.

Since you're asking in January, the answer is yes. However, the last three RPRU's have seen something come up that got in my way...

I should probably bring my fast hitch roll over plow that I bought north of Kearney, kind of a homecoming. I have a few other trips planned this summer so unfortunately I don’t think I’ll have the time or money to go this year.

I'm planning on making the trip. Where's the best place to make reservations around Grand Island? I assume everything in town is booked already. I assume they will offer a tour of the combine plant? Worked on many a Flagship combine but never toured the plant where they are made.

I hear there are more than adequate number of rooms available unless you wait to the last minute.

Wife and I are planning to be there with an RV.  Hoping for a RV space on site.  This will be our third Roundup.

We toured the combine plant a few years ago.  If you have not, try to, it is a great tour.  Hope to see you all then.

Dennis

Stuhr museum.

Used to have a train that ran around you could ride on. Not sure if it is still there.

Hornady is there too, not sure if they have a "tasting room" or not😄

I may never be this close to an RPRU so I am planning on making it.

When I was in high school, we toured Hornaday and CNH.....back when it was Case IH

Not sure if they give tours but the USDA Meat animal research center is about 25 or 30 miles from Grand Island as well as the Navel ammunition plant.
We are going to be there Friday. Only 3 hours or so from the house. Might spend Friday night up there.

Toured it in college.  Its pretty cool.

Roger died this fall.  He had an auction and sold his tractors a few years ago.  He donated his land to the Pawanee Indians I do believe.  His place is just east of town just before the curve, south side.  Hastings has a museum too.  Golden Spike is pretty awesome.  The night crawler bar in Worms is kinda neat.

There are other towns very close by with lodging if your willing to drive bit.  St. Paul, Aurora, Kearney, Central City.

IDK if anyone can contact the Howard County Ag society (St. Paul NE 16 miles) or not, but they rent out the fair grounds for camping during big events like Husker Harvest days and state fair.

I remember Welsh's donation of land did not set well with the locals but not sure how they feel now.

Never did know how much land it was but can't think it was too much.

Yes, I plan on attending! This will be my first RPRU and is the closest one for me. Looking forward to meeting a lot of you.

G I is a neat place. We go there for a livestock show in September. I was also there in October 2017 with FFA going to National Convention and we toured the CaseIH plant.
