Wayne766
On my 766 today I went to the barn to feed cattle and saw a puddle of antifreeze under the front axle. It was below zero last night but had checked the antifreeze before this weather change and it showed good to -20F. This was tested with the floating ball tester that I have always used. Our low last night showed -5F. The high temp today was 4F and did not have time to take panels off to look for leaking area. There was nothing under the engine area so am confident(hoping) the block did not crack. Do any of you have an idea where the leak would be? Thanks in advance for any suggestions and possible causes. To all on here I wish a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. Thanks.
Gearclash
Almost certainly from some hose clamped rubber radiator hose joint. I see that regularly. You can try tightening the clamps. Worth checking that the hose is on the spigot correctly. Walked in the shed last year to get my neighbor’s not so ancient tractor going and there was a little puddle on the floor. Went looking and here one of the lower radiator hoses was about to pop off. And the lower charge air cooler hose had stretched and rubbed a hole in itself. ksfarmdude
When it gets that cold Hoses will seep Usually after it warms up the leak will go always after its warms up check all the hose clamps and tighten them up some usually stops that
acem
If it was frozen it shouldn't leak until it thaws. At least that's how house pipes work.
Diesel Doctor
If you have had the Hy-Gear hose clamps off, you can guarantee they will seep when it gets real cold. Tighten all the hose clamps and this usually stops the problem. This is why I like the new spring clamps. They automatically tighten when things get cold and shrink.
Little Red
youve got a cold water leak, if you ever have coolant drained and hoses off, clean up the hoses and tubes real good and then smear permatex form-a-gasket (tar-in-a-jar) in the ends of the hose and tighten everything up good and it wont leak again.

stronger800
I’ve used rtv in a pinch, to help seal a hose to a pitted tube. Removed it years later no problem

snoshoe
Another vote for rtv. Find the black to be easiest to break loose. Clear is like glue. Red and blue somewhere in the middle.
