acem
I went to a consignment auction in Alma Arkansas today. Mostly a bust because of the rainy week, it poured today. I bought an air compressor, chain and binders, truck tool box... There was a niceish 4240 with a westendorf 28 loader. Looked above average but had D range out. It brought $17,000 but he didn't take it... Good 68 impala 2dr hardtop 327 auto ps pb ac. No rust southern car. Running and driving. Complete except the ac compressor was missing. Needed restoration but easy- paint, top and interior. Brought $5,000. 94 jeep wrangler. 6cyl auto. Clean, no rust. $3700.
hobbyfarm
Prices seem strong to me. What kind of weight can one haul and be able to dump with those trucks?
dale560
Those are very nice looking trucks. Tractors looked good also.

I have a 1980 S1700 similar to those. 404 gas 5 x 2 with an 18 foot grain box. Mine's licensed for 13 tons but most of the time loaded is 28000 to 30000. Truck is around 12500 empty. So legally around 250 bushels of corn. It hauls 325 or so pretty regularly! 😀

acem
My loadstar 1600s haul 250 bushels easy. 300+ hard. But I've got significant hills/ ozark mountains.
