from H to 80
I wore Red Wing Wellington's forever, because they were USA made,my feet started killing me so i went to see the doc. He recommended a flat soled shoe and arch supports and the difference is amazing.
Lazy WP
These boots should be the greatest thing ever and they are extremely comfortable, but if I walk all day in them, my back hurts so bad I can’t move. Not sure why.
jass1660
You’re spine is out of alignment you lean heavy to the right instead of being balanced by the way your soles are wore.

I did buy a pair of Sketcher lace boots and have worn them 2 days now without much pain. Not a fan of laces but I can deal with them if that is my only option but I would like a pair of pull ons. I need opinions. I could have posted that ! I drive local and am out of my truck alot with no issues. weekends are brutal on my back . If I go to an auction and stand alot I feel it later! vtfireman85
Opinions on here are as plentiful as a$$h….. nevermind. I jest above, but since everyone’s feet are different, I strongly suggest going and seeing a qualified podiatrist. Its some of the best money I have ever spent and in the long run it wasn’t all that much. He said he usually has to start by getting people into an appropriate pair of shoes, in my case he said i was already wearing what i should be. But he made me these, like anything else, they have a break in period, he said the insoles should go about 10 years with every day use. I also bought a couple pair of generic insoles with a similar profile for things like my muck boots etc. those don’t hold up as long, but they make a big difference. Also don’t just decide to go it alone and get some random SuperFeet or something, go talk to a professional.

SDman
I'll second the RedBack boots....that's all I've worn for work boots for nearly 10 years now. Buy them from the Matco tool dealer here. My employer mandates steel-toed boots, but they pay for one set/yr, so its not a big deal to me. They last 18 months without a problem. Pretty comfortable for working on concrete all day. Finally got a new set here a couple months ago as they have been hard to get since the pandemic and supply chains issues. Last year I wore a set of SteelBlue work boots. They were as comfortable as the RedBacks, but they sure didn't wear as long. Seems like my feet like boots from "down under" as both brands are Australian, I believe. I think you will find excellent quality in most footwear made in the country it is headquartered in, China not withstanding. that said, i cannot think of much headquartered in China I would care to have. Honestly, I was on my feet most of Friday and Saturday wearing my new lace up Sketchers and for the first time in years neither my back nor feet hurt. I would still like to find a pair of pull on boots but if it never happens, I found something that works for now.

Good socks make all the difference, i went to Darn Tough, merino wool socks years ago, well worth the cost imo. I would expect cabellas to be a good sock too. Smart wool is a good choice as well
