DT Fan
Since Mom's passing I find myself with no commitment today, decided to take a swing at the 'traditional' dinner. Her turkey was always to die for, very moist. Don't think she did anything to black magic just cooked it in a bag. Since I had a 6 lb. chicken in the freezer, no turkey but hey it's close! Since I didn't want to be working on this for a week just stayed with the classics. Mashed taters, green been casserole meat and stuffing, oh, and gravy. Things turned out well!
DT Fan
Verdict is in! Fantastic! Better than Mom's, no. Not too bad for a first attempt. Edit; Made the gravy with a mix of potato water, chicken drippings and half and half, with a little bacon grease.

DT Fan
Leftovers are in the fridge, course I had to nibble a little in that process. Going to be miserable all day at this rate! Off to the farm to work some of it off.

But that does look good. 1

DT Fan
Made it to the farm but was still so full I didn't get much accomplished! Looked at a couple things and kind of groaned, decided to wait for another day! Did manage to get tomorrow's plowing rig set-up. It will go on the trailer today. Probably no point in swearing I won't eat like that again. By this time next year I'll be ready. Surprised no one else had pictures of their feast. Alan Dinan
Try to remember to take a picture of ours tomorrow. We had NY strips for dinner yesterday as some family from out of town got here later in the day. So Turkey day is Saturday

Lars (midessa)
We did ham this year. Figured I would rather pay high dollar for ham, rather than turkey.
