nepoweshiekfarmalls
Saturday, Iowa Chapter 5 held our annual fall meeting at the Knights of Columbus hall in Cascade, IA. The Bruns family hosted the event and drove in several IH machines for display. It was chilly, overcast, and a few lazy snowflakes were drifting down. Despite the weather, the Bruns family was upbeat and happy to have their equipment there on display. I volunteered to help them shuttle the tractors home 2 miles to the farm. Had the pleasure of operating the M with the Detroit Diesel conversion! It ran good...

IHhogfarmer
Looks good. Those are nice implements, always neat to see them with tractors still. Are any of them still in use?
nomorejohndeere
Are the diesel M's shorter wheelbase than the gas?

Their factory MD has the early wide front that sticks out in front of the tractor, so it looks different. The Detroit conversion was a gas engine tractor. No change to the factory wheelbase. from H to 80
A long gone neighbor had an "H" with a mounted sawbuck just like that one. Seeing that brought back some fond memories thanks for posting it.

Awesome, even better when the implements are still in use. Gives you more appreciation with preserving the machinery.
