Works great and just need a bag of charcoal It’s kinda like smoked / baked I don't want to hijack this thread but can you elaborate on the prep for cooking this way? I've seen other pictures of the "garbage can" chicken but I'm not sure how to set it all up.
885
I know you said fried, but the "oil-less" or air fryers make a delicious turkey. We have one by charbroil called the big easy. To me they beat the socks off a fried turkey and you don't have to worry about the house burning down.
Missouri Mule
I've deep fried probably 20 turkey or more. I use an injection the day before. Let it set out the day of, and fry that sucker. I save a little dab of the injection and drizzle over the meat after its sliced. I have to look up cook time on my phone every single time. Every bird turns out perfect. Then the day after thanksgiving go buy a couple more, do them up even better and freeze them for lunches and supper. Throw oil away after that.
Missouri Mule
Oh and avoid any kind of rub or injection with a bunch of sugar. It just turns the bird black and ruins the oil right away. Looks like Clark griswolds turkey
