Never........

I mean NEVER EVER let the kids go with grandpa to take ducks to the auction. They told him that they were allowed to buy a few mini pigs and a pair of turkeys...... I'm not really happy about this.

My youngest daughter and her cousin are the guilty parties in this fiasco....

Didn’t you need something more to do with all of the newfound “free time” on your hands?

 Hahahahaa

I haven't found that free time yet...

Dad always told my sister she couldn’t have a horse or a pony. Because any animals we had had to go in the freezer before their water buckets froze in the winter. So we had a lot of pigs with names over the years

You can auction off ducks????🤔

Yes. Taken some 4 times now. Lose money every time but cheaper than keeping them longer 😁

Back when I lived by Ewing, the local sale barn would have couple exotic animal auctions a summer.

Lots of weird colored chickens, ducks, rabbits tiny pigs and I don't remember what all.

A buddy and me bought two purebred racing homing pigeons for a few bucks.

Had em at the boars nest for a few days.

Until someone left a door open.

Then they raced their purebred tailfeathers right back home.

Guessing that guy made good money selling them over and over again. 😆

Just think when you're a grandparent you can do that or something worse to your daughter as a parent.  I remember my grandpa bought my sister and I drums for Christmas one year after my mom told him no, so mom got grandma a house dog.   The dog outlasted the  drums by many years.

A friend of mine did that with guineas, he would sell them locally and as soon as the new buyer turned them loose, they would head for home. Not all of them made it back but those that did were sold over and over.
