jimw
Finished a little 20 acre field. I Hadn’t used the 6601 in 4 years. It went good and handled those 20ft swaths better than I thought it would.
poor farmer/logger
Had one just like it for a number of years too. Kind of replaced the gleaner M we had that was plain wore out. Traded it on the 850 Massey eventually. All we had at the time was a 18’ swather so it handled it pretty easily. Was enough room to leave the duals on though so we had to take them off each fall. We had a 18’ pull type swather as well so the duals had to come off regardless. 1994 was the last year we had it i believe.
Big Bud guy
Nice. Would love to own a 6601 but down here nobody ran PT combines like that. 6601s came out a year before the rest of the 00 series.
Loadstar
There were a lot of them here in Sask. as well as the other makes. The bigger 7701 and then the later 7721 like mine also sold well. They have good capacity but are better in open country with a lot of straight swaths. I lose a lot of time turning corners with my 7721.
