dhanraha
We've got a 1256 with a slow dropping 3 point. Sometimes it will drop at normal speed, but mostly it takes 3 to 4x as long. Pulled the pto out this morning and double checked the draft sensing linkage at the torsion bar and above. All seemed fine. Where should I look next? Thanks. ksfarmdude
Make sure your draft load lever is moving the shaft and not slipping

Note lever position. Move lever forward until hitch just starts to drop. Measure distance lever moved. Should be 3/8-7/16 inch. More than that needs drop pilot adjustment. If measurement was good. Drop poppet needs cleaning and new oring.
dhanraha
Thanks you guys. Lever is moving where it hinges on the draft sensing arm. Arm and torsion shaft do not move. It is slow to drop with load and without.

It sounds like your drop poppet is not opening. A heavy load will sometimes push it free.
