This shop in Ohio Reiselt's Machine Works has a few unique IH trucks  

 1947 International W3042L 335 small cam Cummins Inc (originally HB600), 5 spd. main, 4spd . od. aux. Dayton belt drive sheaves, Trucktor tag axle, Williams water cooled brake control box. 11.00-22 big rubber, Pointer-Wiammet log trailer 1954 Alcoa Wheels

V series IH truck with a full load of logs 

V series trucks were made 1956-63 for the LV gas V-8s

This truck has the V-549 with a 5-speed main and a 3-speed auxiliary

I thought they would have made V series later than 63. I know they made R series later. I had a 67 R190 with an RD450 6 cylinder and 5 & 3 transmissions. It had originally been a ready mix truck, but the mixer was not on when I bought it. I used it in the woods with a Barko 80 loader for a little yarding, but  mostly loadin semii trucks. That's a load on that V series, you'd know you had to be in the right gears on the road.

May 1968 both R and V were discontinued a replaced by the Fleetstar A

We owned this one and I drove it for a few years but much lighter and smaller loads than yours.

1968 Loadstar 1800 with V-392, 5 & 3 trannies. Barko 80 loader. It ended it's life sliding down an icy bush road hill and meeting up with a tree. And then caught fire. No one injured.

..when 'tracks'' reigned supreme.....notice the veritable swamp where the two 14's  were pulling that massive plough...running water everywhere..

..the fully ''suited  ''     gentleman looked a mite incongruous, as he wandered around the ploughed area.....and of course the French dialogue was way over my head.....

Yes, lots of track power, Mike. My French is also not great but I think it might be in the Abitibi region of Quebec. Hopefully Hector or some of our Quebec chums will verify the location.

Am not sure but should be in ABITIBI  and I remember in 1950 some INTERNATIONAL was in my area for plowing ,digging for 3 to 4 mounth each year and these dozer was caming from QUEBEC

My Grandpa on my mothers side ran the CN steam locomotive train from Rouyn-Noranda to Montréal for years 

My uncle was the station master for Ontario Northland Railroad in Rouyn-Noranda as was his father

It's kind of like casting for fish. It takes coordination. Another way to do it is to put a cat or big dump truck on the far side with a pulley attached to it. If you're drag line has the extra drum you can put that cable through the pulley and use it to pull the bucket across the canal before you pull it back.
